Ever Concept 6-Tier Rolling Storage Cart

I bought this to replace a jelly cupboard that stored our pantry items when I realized we needed storage with better air circulation. (The jelly cupboard was positioned directly against the fridge, and condensation started dripping inside it.)

The assembly is simple enough to do without even looking at the instructions, as I have put together about 15 similarly designed shelving units. The manufacturer even supplies 6 spare plastic sleeves, which is great because the plastic is easily breakable. But I did encounter something with this unit more often than in any of the other units. These plastic sleeves would slip off or down extremely easily when I tried to put each shelf on. But once in place, they are very secure.

These shelving units are super strong and you can easily change the shelf heights as needed. Just take note that each shelf has about a 1-inch high outer rim all around it. This might preclude you from storing, say, books wider than the usable shelf depth of just about 9.75 inches.

The wheels* do not have to be used; 4 leveling feet are provided and can be substituted instead. But since I move furniture around almost weekly, I opted for the wheels. Plus, I can roll it aside to vacuum well, theoretically that is, as I don't do this sort of thing as often as I should. But good to know!

* Top heavy? Yes, this unit can become wobbly from being top-heavy. If you DO use the wheels, make sure each wheel is pointed outward from the base. Doing so will reduce _but not entirely eliminate_ the instability. Whether or not the wheels are used, make sure the bottom shelf holds heavy items.

I have another one of these but from a catalog. This one isn't as good, but I have no problem with it. I'd likely buy another one if the need arose. It rolls ok, is sturdy enough for my purposes, (canned goods) and is a great size. The finish isn't as smooth and there's no handle like in the one from the catalog for $20 more. Maybe the finish won't last as long, I don't know, time will tell. For now, I am happy with my purchase.

I think this will work out well once I receive a set with both the upper rods and lower rods. The upper rods need a male end to properly screw into the female end of the lower rods but my package had 8 female rods so I was unable to assemble it. The package arrived earlier than expected (yippee!) but I was unhappy to discover that the people packing the shelves had put 4 female rods in the upper rod carton and had capped them off, even though female to female ends won't work. My goal was to have a tall, narrow pull-out shelving unit on wheels to make my pantry more accessible (avoid losing those seldom-used foodstuffs tucked way, way in back) and to be able to easily clean the floor. It's not Amazon's fault that the manufacturer shipped incorrect parts, but it's dreadfully inconvenient to attempt to repackage it in the carton and to haul it to the PO and mail it out, awaiting a refund and replacement. It would have been much simpler to mail back the 4 incorrect rods and to receive 4 replacement upper rods. (Simpler and less costly, too.) The other issue I'm having is that the plastic "wrappers" which surround the rods and provide support for the shelves are not holding well. I have assembled probably 5 of this type of shelving and have never had bad luck with all the plastic spacers, so I'm hoping the replacement fits together better.

We have ordered lots of wire shelving from Amazon and purchased in stores and have always been happy with how well made and handy it is. We never had this particular brand before but it had just the right measurements for a tight space plus wheels.

When we unpacked it there were NO wheels in the box! Even worse one of the shelves was bent, there was a broken weld and the shelves were not correct and would have forced us to put them on upside down!

My husband and I have put together lots of these types of units so its not like we didn't know how. The entire thing was very shoddy and instead of one long sturdy bar it was several that needed to be fitted together.

We were lucky it was sold through Amazon, they sent a call tag for the item and UPS picked up the heavy box today. I had to write this review to warn others there is a chance you might have the same experience. I hope not because it was disapointing and now we are out a set of shelves. We asked for a refund because I can't take another chance of poor quality control. Thanks to Amazon for making the return painless, they are great!

I have to admit, I trolled the internet to find another cart so I wouldn't have to buy this one because of the poor reviews regarding pieces missing, bent etc. Well, I failed to find one so I held my nose and bought it. It came wholly complete and in excellent condition. It came together in about half an hour (I put two larger ones together the same week and this one was a cinch because it was so small in comparison).

I have a small kitchen and this now holds my cookbooks, glasses (I don't entirely trust the grates to hold glasses sturdily so I'm looking for some thick plastic to put down so for now I have 9" bungees that I use to tie off my pants when I bike, well these do quite well to hold everything in). I'm really pleased I took a chance on this product and I would highly recommend it to other people.

We needed a cart with a little wider footprint for stability to support a generator (about 110 pounds) as I loaded it on and off my pickup for camping/travel. This cart is both substantial in strength and stability. I made a rack to increase the height and have a ramp to roll the generator on and off the truck. We store the generator on this cart and it handles well to roll out of the way. Even with the added height and heavy weight on top, this cart is very stable.

Larger wheels would have been nice but our usage is probably not typical and we can handle it as is.

Got this cart to use after we moved to a 3rd floor condo at the beach. I got this last week. The initial installation was easy. But now I am struggling how to run my cable from the back to my components. As per the instruction, we are suppose to have some kind of holes/ some opening to run cable from back to equipment.

Very poor design.

I am not sure if AVF tried at-least once to install the whole system before start selling in market.

I have a small center channel on the top shelf, dvd/cable box on the middle, and my stereo receiver on the bottom. The shelves sag when fully tightened down. Today, after having the shelving for 3 weeks, the bottom shelf mounting arm broke. Luckily I was able to catch my reciever before it fell on the ground. I ended up hurting myself in the process. Installation instructions were not very good, and one of the allen head bolts wasn't even drilled, so I had to find a replacement on my own. Shelving is also not very large, and my components barely fit on them. The cable management on the back is maybe 1/2" diameter, and I could barely fit 3 cords in it before it was full and then the slide in cover wouldn't go on. I can't afford another one unfortunately, so Im stuck with this. I just had to contact AVF to send me another mounting arm, hopefully they will do so with no issues as they have a lifetime warranty.

We needed a sleek design that we can mount on the wall to save some space and where we can keep many of our devices. We bought this almost 2 yrs ago and think its great. No problems with installations. Top shelf holds the DVD player, middle shelf holds the DVR receiver and the bottom shelf holds stereo receiver. Ours was able to hold the weight and we haven't had any problems of breaking or too much weight... I think as long as you follow the weight limits per shelf you should have absolutely no problems. We also ended up running some of our cables into the walls so that it looks even more organized.

The wall mount had great directions and plenty of hardware to mount the unit. It included hardware to mount in several differnt ways giving you options. Very solid and a high quality product I would buy again. Cable hiding is difficult in any aplication and this one was not as easy as the directions lead you to believe and leave a little to desire.

Excellent tote that stacks well. The sides do not bulge if stacked three high. Works well for home use although I would not recommend for a shipment on a common carrier.

These containers are made of high-impact plastic, and will stand up to just about any abuse. Being 17" high and 21" long, they are ably to handle a lot of larger household items that wouldn't fit even in a legal sized paper box.

You might balk at the price, but consider that you'll have them forever, they are impervious to mold and moisture,(unlike cardboard boxes) and they can be secured shut with wire ties. Not waterproof, but at least you don't have to worry about moisture getting in from the bottom if you have these in a storage unit or the basement.

All in all, a great quality product.

I wanted to replace a darker shelf with a smaller, white one. This one fit the bill. Because I've got some very delicate items on it, I wanted it a little more secure so I used extra hardware to screw it to the wall AND the shelf. I had done the same thing with the previous dark shelf because both of them just had the shelf laying on top of the 2 brackets.

This bookcase is quite sturdy and looks nice, exactly as it appears in the pictures. I had a damaged top on the original piece. I called Customer Service and they sent a new one within 10 days. The new is great, the bookcase is exactly the size I needed. I would recommend this to a friend.

thesse are great, i have no linnen closet in my house,so i got two of thesse. they have good hanging hooks, and they have a solid bottom on each shelf, works great.

I've owned similar products by different brands in the past, to see them lose shape and become both weird looking and dysfunctional over time. I stuff all compartments with clothes (and not just underwear socks etc either) with this thing and it still stays in very good shape, with no noticeable sagging, and thanks to the metal frame hanger at the top, no slanting to either side. We bought this shelf to hang in our bathroom. While it gets the job done, it is of questionable quality. When you stand back, it appears as if it is crowning just a bit in the center, and the "espresso" finish is merely brown paint over MDF or something. The back corner seam is very faintly cracking, and you can see white primer coming through. But overall, it is the size, color, and price that we wanted.

If you are looking for a true black shelf, do not buy this. It is a dark brown finish. It looks nice, with average quality. Comes with 2 screws per shelf and instructions.

I picked a couple of these up for temporary use to hold spices during a renovation. They aren't even worth the low price I paid for them. They arrived with nicks and dents and in general looked like I scrounged them out of the clearance bin at the dollar store. Unless you're outfitting a slum apartment, don't bother ordering these.

The pluses are that it is well made and came completely assembled and was reasonably priced. The big minus is that the metal bars that you hang the clothes on are so thin that they make creases in the clothes when they are dry. I wish the bars were thicker, I never had this problemw with other wooden clothes drying racks that I used.

I recently bought this rack and I absolutely love it. It's got plenty of room, it's sturdy, and it comes with a mesh piece that can be placed on the top level for sweaters. And it folds up to store flat. I don't have a lot of storage space in my apartment, so this rack is perfect.

This drying rack looks high quality compared to other metal/wood drying racks that I see in store, and comes with a mesh on top. However, after light use I noticed that several bars have bent, so don't put heavy clothes/towels on it. One of the legs was also slightly bent because my wife was moving the rack around the house, but luckily it was easy to bend it back.

I was debating with myself on whether to give this item 3 star or 4 star, in the end I gave it 4 stars because I use it to dry my baby's clothes/towels so those are relatively lightweight, but if you have big towels to dry you should look for a sturdier drying rack

Great construction and solid build. Looks very nice.

The only knock, and it's trivial, is that if you run a lot of hot devices in it due to it's closed construction you can get some heat build up. This isn't a knock of the model, but just of the closed-off older style classic design. It's not so bad on ours but is noticeable.

The body is a mix it looks like of real wood and heavy duty press board: very solid. The backing is the typical ultra-heavy sort of thick cardboard/woody material you see these days, that you nail into the frame. There a couple of holes pre-formed into it for running wires into it. I imagine just opening up these holes some more would allow enough heat to bleed off, but I'm not sure what it would do to the strength of the unit. If the vendor sees this they should respond.

We had a more modern open-faced metal and glass entertainment stand in our living room, but with a crawling baby short of putting an ugly fence around it there was no way to baby proof the modern open-face one.

This thing is a piece of cake to baby proof: put a restraint on the cabinet doors, on the drawers if needed, and toss an earthquake strap on the back, which I'll be doing this weekend.

After our 5 year old broke our last tv on a stand that had wheels and knocked a component loose, we decided we couldn't get a new tv until we had a stable stand. This piece looks nice. My husband put it together pretty easily, except the doors are a little tricky to line up right, as there is not much room for error. It is very sturdy and looks nice. Doors work easily. We keep a cable box, modem, router and a PlayStation 3 in the glass shelved part. It usually does not overheat; however, a couple times we've heard fans and open the door, which solves the problem.

A very nice piece of furniture, however my husband and I came across some problems while assembling. The pieces were missing some labels ,had to play the guessing game to figure out what went where. Because of that assembly took about 3 and 1/2 hours. I was also disappointed that the furniture arrived with some scratches. We will try to use a wood scratch concealer and see what happens. Overall I really do not regret buying this bookcase. The finish product turned out very nice. Beautiful color, matched with the rest of the furnitures in my family room very nicely.

I bought this and it was delivered on time. The packing was damaged on one corner. When I opened it up, one piece of molding was damaged. I called customer support and they shipped a replacement. 2 day delivery. I assembled it by carefully reading the directions. Very well done. Drawing and labels were very helpful, pointing out ways to be sure you were assembling it correctly. The design and engineering makes this a great value. Looks great.

After I assembled it and put my daughters clothes in that she outgrew, it collapsed. The poles bent and plastic snapped. Now folks were talking about childrens clothing sizes 1 6. We're not talking about heavy weight at all. The closet wasn't even full. Don't waste your money.

I put it together and literally within 1 hour it collapse and the corners all cracked. I had to tape them for reinforcement. I didn't return the item due to these cracks..

I would not recommend.

i thought this was pretty easy to put together, but i dont find it that sturdy. the covering is nice and the extra space did help to make more space in my draw. the connectors to hold the frames together are made of cheap plastic. some of them tore while i was putting it together, but it's holding up for now (with the help of my wall). for the price it isn't too bad.
