Lisbon Wall Cabinet

Just a beautiful cabinet! We put it in our newly remodeled bathroom and it really does look classy too! Beautiful glass doors with curtains! Very cool! I went ahead and antiqued the little stylish carving and the trim surrounding it that is above the doors, to the same color of blue as our bathroom. I just painted the front of it, let it dry for an hour and then with a wet rag, rubbed most of it off, leaving a real pretty antique look! So now, it really fits our bathroom well. But, even without that treatment, we were well pleased with it and it was easy to put together too. Just one caveat though.....

The cabinet mounting system, is just the worst I have ever seen? The holes are drilled very high in the cabinet, so you will need a real little stubby screwdriver to be able to screw in the screw(s)? Luckily I have one that also ratchets (really helps because you have to apply considerable pressure to screw the screw in and you are in an akward position!) I also had some success with a socket wrench with a phillips ended socket? I used those 75 pound max. load screw in drywall anchors, that actually you hear a crack, when the screw is all the way in (no guesswork!) Still was a real pain getting the screws fully in though!

Then, you realize that there is nothing to hold the cabinet against the wall on the bottom!.....To make a long story short, I just bought a tube of construction adhesive, pulled the bottom of the cabinet out from the wall, squirted some in each side (don't squirt in too much or it will squeeze out the sides and possibly the bottom and make a real mess of your walls!) and pressed the cabinet against the wall and the weight of the cabinet did the rest. Perfect at last! But, I still wonder why the manufacturer didn't just put the mounting board in the center of the cabinet and then just provide two snap in screw covers? It would of been "so much easier"! Oh well.....

I absolutely LOVE this cabinet! It just took me just under an hour to build it (I'm female, 35 yrs old) granted I'm used to building IKEA furniture and other furniture. Despite the reviews and advanced warning of the many pieces, when I initially opened the box I was like "oh no! this is going to take me forever!" however, ALL of the pieces were clearly labeled even every single piece of hardware! AND the instructions were awesome with clear diagrams. I was also nervous because the many reviews were for older folks and I thought perhaps it might be too old fashion? (sorry don't mean to offend!) I have a super small main bathroom which I recently redid with white wainscot, pedestal sink, and clawfoot tub this cabinet fit in PERFECTLY A lot of character! HIGHLY recommend!

Bought it for my mom for her birthday. I like the details, material quality and functionality. Wish it was a little cheaper, takes 1-2hrs to put together. All as advertised except there was two paint chips on the front that kind of tick me off. Had to put some white paint on it. Mom loves it.

This is smaller than I expected but as it just so happens, the size is perfect. It's not very deep. I didn't hang it up on the wall.... I put it on a ledge in the bathroom and that's where it has stayed. Extremely cute. As everyone has said, it looks way better in real life than in the photo. I'm thinking about replacing the knobs... that's the only less than perfect thing about it. I liked it so much, I bought another for my mom, who also loved it. :)

This was delivered in one day. Good Condition. Picture instructions easy to follow.

Wasn't a wood stud where it needed to be installed. I tried using supplied drywall anchors and screws. The plastic anchors messed up using an electric drill and screws were to large.

I had the common problem of creating a rounded out hole to big for the anchors.(stuff happens!) So,I checked my surplus hardware stash and found two metal drywall anchors with the spring loaded wing-nuts that lockup against the inside of the drywall. These are the best for any weight bearing install.

I didn't rate the shelf system 5 stars because of the supplied anchors & screws.

The shelf system was great and goodlooking. A very sturdy shelf holds the cable box and above on the next shelf is my blu-ray player. Adjusting the shelves was easy. I really liked being able to arrange all cables neatly through cableways on each side of the base and behind the shelf holders. This made a nice clean setup. Very pleased with the final results.

I experienced no instability in any of the shelves as I read in some review. This my be because of the use of the supplied anchoring hardware. Before install, go to the hardware store and get better hardware for the drywall. In my opinion, the metal wing-nut toggle bolt type are the best for load bearing shelving.

I for one am all about aesthetic appeal when it comes to our television setup in each of our rooms in our homes. I am a wire hider, I would rather climb up in a 130F attic and hide wires than see them any day. We purchased this product for my son's setup in his room, we mounted it right next to his 47" TV and he keeps his Playstation and XBox on each shelf, the wires are nearly completely hidden as they're so close to the TV that they simply are running directly behind and plugged in (excess is wound up and zip tied behind the TV). We chose to mount the shelf to the side of the Television because he had a shelf below with his stereo, etc, and the aesthetic appearance worked better off to the side. It would look amazing with one set on each side, but he has no need for two sets. The product was very easily assembled, and the glass and finish gives it a very contemporary look. I would recommend this product all day long.

I purchased this shelf to hold my cable DVR and my DVD player when I was relocating my flat-screen TV above my mantle. I didn't want to have a bunch of wires and items near the floor, so I wanted something attractive to hold the equipment that I could mount next to the TV.

Overall the shelves are a good value. The instructions are clear but in photo-only format. I glanced over them but, being a guy, I forged ahead without understanding them at all. Luckily for me, the parts are really easy to figure out.

I was mounting the shelves in brick, so I did not encounter the problem that others have stated with regards to the drywall anchors. That said, I would never mount something like this in just drywall using the drywall anchors. The screws either need to go into a wood stud or you should use a toggle bolt/anchor bolt to get a good clamp on the other side of the sheet rock. If you don't know what a toggle or anchor bolt is, don't be afraid -they are actually easier to use than you think and you can see a sample right here (http://www.amazon.com/Plated-Steel-Toggle-Slotted-Length/dp/B00137CITU/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1330713516&sr=8-10). Just drill a hole, slip the toggle bolt into place with the shelf backing in the middle, and stick it through the hole, then use a screwdriver to tighten.

Once mounted it was easy to feed the wires through the built-in spaces to collect them nicely. The shelves took about five minutes to screw in with the supplied allen.

For those of you using the supplied drywall anchors, let me make a suggestion -drill a smaller hole FIRST, as a pilot hole. And if you are using a powerdrill, let the drill do the work, but don't put it on the highest speed available, and don't PUSH too hard to get the anchor in, otherwise, it'll smoosh it.

As far as instability, there are two types. There's the back mount piece that can be unstable, and then there's the shelf instability itself.

Regarding the back piece, I cannot say that was unstable since I mounted it in brick using lag bolts and sheaths. For those mounting in drywall, I suggest using toggle bolts instead.

Regarding the shelves themselves, they do rock back and forth quite a bit when they are put in place. The shelves aren't screwed in at all. instead, they fit inside a little clip and rest upon some rubber feet on top of the shelf support. I can see it being very easy to bump these shelves and have stuff fall down or off. Where I mounted the equipment this is not a big deal, but for others it may be. If you have a cat that likes to climb, I don;t think I would recommend getting these shelves unless they are out of the way.

I was looking for a cheap wall shelf unit, but I wish I would've shopped more. This unit is very visually pleasing; however, lacks stability. The drywall anchors that come with it don't work very well. I eventually made them work, but recommend getting other anchors if you have the choice. I got the anchors tight to the wall, but the shelves will sway side to side way more than I expect if bumped. The shelf looks very nice if you put it up away from contact, but I fear things may fall off them as wobbly as they are.

This unit is very sturdy if you use common sense when mounting it. Let's face it, you can't possibly think that drywall anchors will hold ANY shelving unit loaded with equipment(even if they give you the anchors with the shelf)! Seems like the biggest problem people,myself included, have is that they want to mount this unit centered below their TV and wall mounts for TV's commonly only hit 2 studs, so you can either try using drywall anchors to mount it in the center, or mount it off center so you can hit a stud. Neither of those sounded good to me so after tons of searching on Amazon, I was able to find a TV wall mount that was wide enough to hit 3 studs (GENIUS!) and thus have a stud directly centered below the TV. We really, really wanted these to be 5 stars! The idea is great, and they did hold the spice jars for about 2 weeks. After that, the plastic just loses its springiness and the bottles/jars fall. This was with all of our jars, very small ones, the light plastic ones that are actually pictures (we all know the brand there). For the time that they worked, they were perfect. If they were made of metal with spring steel clamps, they'd be ideal and worth more cost. These just go into the category of wasted money. They just don't work, you can't even coax them into working.

I installed these as directed in several cabinets and have not had anything drop in over a month. They really helped me organize my spices and made room in my cabinets. I like them, and have had several people comment on them.

I also bought some of the similar product sold by "AsSeenOnTV" and these are a bit better, I think. I suggest you only buy these "Extra Clips" and don't bother with the "Organiser" item this is supposed to be an extra for.

I live in an rv and the clips are excellent. I use them for my spices. I have about 50. I made a wood strips to put these on and attached the strips together so I can hang them outside for bbq. I hang them on the inside of a closet door for use in the rv. Nothing I have found works better.

When placing these items in your cupboard or pantry, be cautious where you put them. Be sure they clear the shelves as the adhesive on them is VERY strong. Once they are placed, they can't be moved. These are not designed to hold glass bottles but rather the plastic ones such as McCormick or Tone spices. The glass bottles will stretch them out of shape and they will eventually break. But they are still the best system I have ever found for spice storage.

First off, I received this item the very next day. That was fabulous, so we were off to a good start. I was so ready to whip my spice cabinet into shape that I got to work right away. I would recommend emptying the cabinet first and then grouping the bottles by similar size/shape before you attempt to start installing the strips. I actually snapped my bottles into place before I installed the bars and then held them up to the door to make sure that I had enough room for both and that the door would still close properly. Large spices, such as Lawry's Seasoning Salt are not going to fit into the slots, but I only had 4 or 5 spices that size, so it didn't bother me. I also left my tiny spices in the cabinet since they don't get used as often. One piece of advice that I would offer is to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I read that some people had trouble with the strips falling off the wall or cabinet. If you clean and dry the surface first, there's no way those suckers are just going to fall off. Also, the directions say to install it immediately after you take the backing off. Allowing air to get to the adhesive makes it less effective. If you don't follow those instructions, you may have issues. I have uploaded some photos of my new spice cabinet. There's one slot that isn't filled because I didn't have another spice that would fit. Overall, I would highly recommend this product if you have a cluttered spice cabinet.

Corner Shelf

BOTTOM LINE:

It is fine for a corner where a small decorative shelf can be used but won't be seen up close regularly. ABSOLUTELY would NOT recommend for anyone on the "serious" or "professional" end of interior design; the quality is just far too low to be acceptable. However, with that said, for those on a budget it is a decent looking shelf...just don't let people get too close to it and realize it HOLDS VERY LITTLE WEIGHT. Also, if you plan on regularly putting things on/taking things off of it, the hanging mechanism may become a concern as the shelf audibly knocks against the wall with the slightest touch. Keyhole mounts would have easily remedied this problem.

The quality is below cheap IKEA furniture. However, it *IS WOOD*. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about heavy cardboard...it is clearly solid wood...just cheap, solid wood.

-Nice modern look

CONS:

-Wall mount screws/nails are NOT included. Would it have really hurt them that much to include 2 nails? (Assembly screws ARE provided, but only enough to put the whole thing together, not to put it on the wall)

-Mounts to the wall via 2 "hang tabs" attached to the back of the TOP piece of wood only (similar to a light painting). It does NOT use keyhole sockets and does NOT come with the extra nails required to mount it to the wall (although the hang tabs do come preattached). Because of this hanging method, the amount of weight it can hold is severely limited....the shelf is already fragile but keyhole sockets on the top and bottom pieces of wood would have increased the weight this shelf could hold by 5x easily...

-Also, it is only attached to the wall at the very top so it can "swing" away from the wall easily. Minor point but to be considered if kids will bang into it or the like.

-Note the dimensions; it is quite small.

-The "wood" is VERY cheap and has BLEMISHES ALL OVER IT.

-The "paint" is entirely uneven (looks like it was literally hand painted in someones garage). There are large clumps of dried paint on the corners of nearly every piece.

-Instructions are incomplete. Although it is very simple to assemble there is one trick that is not included in the instructions (and is probably the only part that would need an instruction). If it helps anyone: The LARGE drill holes are where your screw HEADS should go (so they should be on the outside); line up the small parts.

-The image is tricky. LOOK CLOSELY. The center two shelves are CURVED NOT STRAIGHT. This ended up being a minor inconvenience to me (as it makes the already tiny shelf EVEN smaller, and I wanted a very "cube" image for my room). The image included is quite tricky and its not noticeable at a quick glance. I guess this was my own fault, but I still think a clearer image should be included...perhaps I will take one and submit it.

NEUTRAL:

-Kinda cheap at less than $20, but then again it looks like $5 of wood and stain made in someones garage so...

This shelf unit broke before it even got out of the bubble wrap. It appears to be make from heavy cardboard, and is shockingly flimsy.

I fell in love with this shelf, then I read the reviews and was discouraged. I took a chance and ordered it anyways... I have added an image I took of my shelf (the one with the dollar bill next to it for size reference)...

Pros:

Looks VERY nice on the wall I like the look a lot!

Great accent shelf, and definitely more unique than most. Very modern.

Seems to be solid wood.

Cons:

When purchased I thought well, this is inexpensive great! Once I got it and saw how small it was, I decided it would probably be more reasonable at a price of approximately $9.99. If it were $9.99, I'd actually buy a couple more for the house.

Also in relation the the price being too high for what it is, I should mention that the screws are silver and there aren't any of those little plastic plugs, or even black stickers (like Ikea gives you). Again, another reason why I think the price is too much. I'll have to take a black sharpie and color the screws so they don't shout "silver."

Not great material. Cheaply made, although, if you are careful with it, I don't think it's really too noticeable once hanging. Just don't touch it! I'm afraid if I touch it, it might break!

Does not hold much weight.

Awful hanging mechanism and once you get it up you won't want to move it! But once it's up, it looks nice :-)

Maybe it's just me, but I invisioned this being quite a bit larger. Fortunately for me, it worked out better being smaller (I was a little hesitant when ordering because I was afraid it might be too big for the spot where I wanted to put it). Definitely not! I have attached a photo with my review, and I taped a dollar bill on the wall next to it for size reference.

The color is listed as Espresso. To me, it looks black. I interpret Espresso as a very, very dark brown. I think it looks great in our black/white/red bedroom. I suppose if you have brown or wood/earth tones, it might "take on" those colors and not look quite as black.

I was excited when I finally found something to match our Shaker furniture. But the excitement ended there. When the package arrived the box had rips but nothing that looked like it would damage the product. When I opened it I really believe this was a return that had been resold. The protective wrapping was torn and there were numerous large dents, gashes and nicks in the wood. So I also returned this stand and was going to have them send me another only to find they were out of stock and had no date of when they would be available. It really looked like it could have been a nice item but I read other reviews where people had a very similar experience with this item. To bad I really was disappointed. I will say Amazon was great about the return and issued my refund quickly.

First off, I can't give a review on this other than the shipping process and how Amazon has worked to resolve the issue.

So here is a history of the what's happened to me so far...

I order the product on Deceber 30th and get an estimated shipping date of January 2nd, which comes and goes so I check online and the ship date now shows Janary 4th. Ok, it's right before the weekend so figure I'll take Thursday night and put all my movies and cds from my old entertainment center into boxes, bring up an old rickety bookshelf to put the TV on, have the dvd player and PS3 for my son put on plastic milk crates to keep it the air flowing over them, etc. and I'm really looking forward to finally getting something nice for my TV.

Weeeelll, that's not exactly what happens. When I get home on Friday, the piece hasn't arrived yet, and I notice that it says "there was an exception to the shipping process" in the tracking code, and my package hasn't even left the depot yet in South Carolina (I live in Wisconsin). Well, color me mad, but I'm like problems happen, Amazon has been good to me, yada yada. Well, it's late, but on the move to Illinois so things are good and I should be getting it soon.

Well, the weekend arrives...nothing... I check the package and it's in Illinois, and the ship date has been changed to the 7th (I had signed up for text alerts, by the way, and didn't that, either) so ok. Monday arrives, no package. Ship date is now the 8th and no text or email alerts. Tuesday arrives, no package and tracking number shows package is still in Illinois...huh? Ok, well I guess they feel it will still get here on time...uh, no...Tuesday after work, nothing. Wednesday, nothing. Thursday I get an email (and a text, yay!) stating my package was delivered to the wrong warehouse in Illinois and is already BACK in South Carolina! At this point I'm like what the heck, but I really want this piece so I'm sure they'll get it figured out.

By the end of the day on the 10th, I get a message that package is already being loaded for departure and on its way back to Wisconsin..on the 12th it's in Tennessee, on the 14th it's in Hodgkins Illinois, on the 15th it's in Madison, WI and about 15 minutes from my house. Woohoo! ... and then I get an email (and text) that the package may have been damaged in delivery and to call Amazon if there are any problems. Uh, ok. So you're going to deliver it anyway? Alright, but if it's damaged, you better not charge me to send it back! I guess after the text and email, someone realized it might not be a good idea to deliver a damaged product ,and I get an email and text showing the package is being sent back to shipper.

So at this point, I'm like what do I do now? Does Amazon refund me? Do they ship out another product? I mean, what am I supposed to do, here? Well, they did text me a number to call when my package arrived, so I call it. Any idea what happened next? I get an automated attendant saying that this is no longer the customer service line for Amazon and that I have to go to a web site address, put in my phone number, and then someone will call me back "immediately". Ah, well guess what, I'm at work. I don't have a direct line and I can't get a signal on my cell.

So...I Google the customer support line, call it, and finally get through to someone who says I have to wait until the package comes back to the warehouse, wait a few days to have my money returned to the account, then can do a search for the new product and re-order if I wish. What? Why on earth would you make someone go through all that. You already have my money. Just ask me if it's ok to ship another one. They can see it was never delivered so it's not like I could pull anything on them, and then I don't have to go through all this.

To make a long story short, they won't do that and to my dismay, the price of the item has gone up in price, so if I want to re-order I'm going to have to pay more to get the same item four to six weeks AFTER it was supposed to be delivered.

Amazon, in every other purchase I've had from you, you've been great....in this instance...you've sucked and sucked badly.

I used this stand for my 46 inch Samsung 750 with TOC. It's a nice looking stand and was very easy to put together. The only minor problem was the screws from the TV itself weren't long enough to fit through the bracket back into the TV to mount it. Just find out your screw size and head to the local hardware store.

I like the TV stand. It was a bit of a pain in the butt to put together as some of the holes didn't line up completely straight and the instructions to put it together are pretty vague, altough, it is pretty simple to figure out. It holds my Panasonic Viera 46" plasma easily. Plenty of mounting options for the TV. Sturdy. Arrived on time. 4/5 stars. I would recommend this product.

Bathroom Wall Shelf

The shelf went together easily, and went up on the wall the same way. Looks nice and seems sturdy. The slats on the shelves make bottles tip if they aren't placed just right, but works great with baskets. All in all a good product for the price.

I rec'd the can rack today and was immediately turned off by the flimsy structure. Placing several cans on it makes the center bow down and it does NOT hold as many cans as it claims (maybe if they were all very small cans) but certainly not your standard 15 oz veggie cans. While it's nice to have some organization to my pantry, I just don't think it's worth the money spent next time I'll spend a few more bucks for the chrome rack that is available.

I finished a new pantry several months ago and I'm now ordering some different kinds of organizers. This one is just bad. I'm one of those people that doesn't need to read directions and can put anything together. Not this. The problem was that it didn't have instructions. I had to go to the website to see a picture of it to help. I did get it together. I then installed it and was I not happy. The cans just don't sit nice and neat. It leans in the center. Find something else.

This definately does not perform the way I had hoped it would. The wire racks are very flimsy and the weight of the cans causes the rack to lean sideways. This definately was not a good buy. The idea of the product is great, but the construction is very poor.

This rack is junk. Poorly made, flimsy, arrived bent, and there's not enough space for more than two tiers of cans. Most of my cans are Goya beans and they are too big for three tiers. I can't believe I spent 21.79 with shipping on this. Shipped quickly, but that's not much consolation.

Buying these types of things can be problematical. One can't know how they will work until they're tried out in one's own work space. Things to consider are height and width of your open shelf areas. This wrap holder can get in the way of accessing things on the shelf below. In addition the hooks sit on the shelf above and can interfere with what you put on that shelf. So keep this in mind. The holder works okay overall. I got two and could only fit one into my main pantry. If I'd had the space, better solutions would be: a larger vertical unit installed on the inside of a cupboard or pantry door or a full depth wire drawer screwed on underneath a shelf.

I ordered two of these racks and they are fine...just be sure to measure the shelf before you order. I had measured the depth of the shelf and thought I was all good. I neglected to measure the actual thickness of the shelf and found that my shelf was too thick for the rack to fit around.

Other than my error in measuring, the racks are OK. I got them to fit in another cabinet and can put very VERY lightweight things in them. The bars that hold the rack to the shelf are quite bendable, so putting something heavier than two or maybe three rolls of aluminum foil/plastic wrap may be pushing it.

Overall, I wouldn't order these again, but I'm far too lazy to send them back, so I'll try to use them for light duty :) If I had to do it over, I would have probably ordered something else.

I was torn between these racks and the type that you mount on a door or wall and eventually settled on these which was a TERRIBLE mistake. When we received them they were twisted and the arms on one of them weren't even the same height resulting in a wobbly mess when we put them on the shelves in our pantry. The wire they are made of is thin and cheap and the product in general is very poorly made. I will definitely be returning both of them.

This is a rather simple storage unit that readily fit on our pantry shelf. The support prongs are long enough that I imagine it would readily work with most thicknesses of shelves. The unit performed as advertised. It is solid and won't bend when loaded. I was impressed that it didn't "move around" when items are taken from it. The only downside is that it is rather small for the intended purpose one can only expect to store 3 or 4 rolls of Saran wrap, foil, etc. I think most folks would prefer this unit to be about 4 inches wider. Would I buy it again yes.

If you notice in the picture, it isn't pushed all the way back. When you do it flops in the back and the cabinet door hits it when you shut it.

Item can early and was easy to assemble ( I did it by myself). I'm extremelly happy with the shelf it looks great in my dining nook with, being used as more of a plant holder and seems sturdy so far! Would def reccomend !

I bought four of these and put them together myself. The wood is not very heavy, like it's hollow or made of a very dry pine or something. But, because it's thin and not heavy I could put it together myself even though the directions recommend two people assemble it. The package comes with wall fasteners, which I did not need and an extra leg for the bottom shelf. Very easy to assemble and can be a bit rickety. But, once in place they stay put.

Things you will need: screwdriver, a sense of geometry! and carpeted floor. Even the directions recommend a carpeted floor. The directions are horribly written and illustrated, btw.

Note: the longer piece on the side of the shelf is actually two pieces and you can see a seam in the middle.

These shelves are made in China and have the feel of mass production. You may see a flaw in a rough edge or seam not completely flushed when put together, or a dibit in a corner that you would only notice because you assembled it yourself. However, overall, they're very nice looking shelves!

This is a steady shelf. I used it in my bathroom for towels and toileties, so I can't comment on if it would give any troubles had I use it to hold books and other heavy-like objects. It is a pressed wood, but it is of a great quality. It was also relatively easy to assemble--one person will do the job. I was worry when I saw the photo if this would be wobbly like any other pressed board furniture from Walmart or KMart, but to my surprise, this turns out nicely and I was presently surprised. Amazing for the $50-ish price and thank you to Amazin Prime for free 2 day shipping! This would be sold for at least $100-$150 at Walmart for a much cheaper quality. Would be about $200 at target on sale.

Great buy and im thinking about getting an additional one when I have the money. Highly recommended.

The shelf is very sturdy and looks great in my daughters room. Before, we couldn't keep all of her books together and now they fit on one shelf and stay up nicely. I am trying to find more things to put on the other shelves!! I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend the shelf!

I put the shelf together quickly even with having to redo the bottom part when I realized it wouldn't match up correctly with the top part. Make certain they will go together the right way before you put the screws in! I placed my graduated-sized treasure chests on each shelf and it looks spectacular! I couldn't have found a better way to display them. My husband likes how it looks, too. Oh, I did have my husband look for a different screw when one of them just wouldn't fit right. This company should send a few extra pieces of hardware, just in case.
