Ameriwood Laundry Cabinet

I got this cabinet, it is very cheaply made. I had to reinforce the entire back of the cabinet because there is nothing to hold it to the wall. It will not hold the pounds it states unless you reinforce the framework, I used steel angle brackets. For the amount of extras that I put into the cabinet, I could have built one myself.

The package arrived as directed but it was wrapped in such cheap cardboard there were several tears. This is most likely why the hinge hardware was not in the package. Nor were there any assembly instructions. Fortunately, the cabinet was pretty straight forward to put together. But I had to hang them without the doors.

I searched for quite a while on the 'net til I found a phone number to call. When it rang through I got an extension for "Public Relations" that said a spiel about "technical difficulties" and then hung up on me. No joy that day...and since it was a Friday, I figured it would be a week or more before I got any help. I searched some more and found a "parts reorder" form which I submitted, hoping it would end up in the right department.

Sure enough, when I called the following week to see if I could get through, I was told that my missing pieces had been shipped out and I should receive them soon. I did indeed receive them a few days later, was able to install them and the cabinet works just fine for its intended use.

I would rate them a star higher because the cabinets are working...but there are several dings on them from the poor packing. They are made of particle board...so a hit makes quite an impression....all puns intended.

This cabinet fits perfectly in my tiny laundry room right above the washer and dryer.

The assembly instructions were a bit of a challenge, and it took my husband and I about an hour to put together.

You need extra hardware/screws to actually hang it on the wall. (we used 4" screws because that was all we had they were too big)

I also recommended this to a neighbor who also bought one. When they put things in theirs, the bottom fell out because really the only thing holding the bottom shelf on is 4 little screws. They ended up reinforcing it with 2x4s to the floor behind their washer and dryer.

I haven't had trouble with mine. Maybe I just didn't put too much weight inside mine.

We purchased two of these spice racks for our pantry. We needed two since these racks are a little on the small side (although a lot of the racks we looked at were smaller still) and I have a lot of spices. We've been pleased. The three smaller shelves are a perfect fit for the standard spice jars from the grocery store and the fourth will fit larger items such as salt.

The only negative for the product is installation. The rack comes with four small screws and four mounting brackets. The screws were too short to give a nice, solid mounting; we used our own and the racks are there to stay.

Stairstep Shelf Cabinet Organizer - (Clear) (18" x 8-1/8" x 3-1/2")

The shelf is fine, but the product label is put on with a tenacious glue. I purchased this shelf because it was clear; now it just looks like dollar store junk. Returning and will find a shelf locally.

Torrence 64"h Widescreen Tv Stand

My wife and I were looking for a TV stand for our new 46" LCD TV and found this ladder style stand. We were really excited because of the unique style and planned to get the matching shelves. We received the stand in good time and we assembled it to find that one of the metal screw mounts were missing from the left A-frame. We contacted Home Decorators and they shipped us another set of A-frames.

After we received the new parts, we put the stand together fairly quickly. In the process we did manage to scuff/mark up the finish in the process, but it seems like the finish damages fairly easily. That was the first mark against this stand.

The second came when we put our TV on the stand and noticed that it bowed under the TVs weight. This was severely disappointing because the TV fits perfectly and the stand does look attractive, also because our TV doesn't weigh that much. When we purchased we hadn't noticed the previous review that mentioned the second shelf bowed under the weight of the TV Tuner and the AV Receiver. We didn't experience this problem on the second shelf because we only have a center channel speaker resting on it. So, please be warned that the top two shelves truly aren't the strongest and will bow under the weight of your AV equipment, light or modestly weighted.

We have decided to return the stand and invest the money into a nicer more sturdy stand. This stand wasn't too expensive, but for $300-$350 I was expecting much more.

But, I will say that the Home Decorators service people have been very helpful and accommodating. I will certainly consider purchasing items from them again in the future, but I will be certain that the product is solid wood opposed to veneer.

I love this tv stand. I looked for a long time for something different. I didn't want a huge entertainment center or the same tv stand everyone else has. I wanted something that was well made too. This one fit my needs to a T. It's very stylish looking, has great shelves for components as well as a top shelf to put candles or books, etc. Take a look at the dimensions too. It fits very nicely in any area, doesn't take up a lot of floor space and adds nice vertical height. I put this together by myself although it would be easier with 2 people. It's very sturdy and adds such a great look to my living room. I bought mine in black and it looks so great. This stand was also much less expensive than most I looked at and it's worth every penny. I highly recommend this product.

This product is exactly what we were looking for. I love the vertical feel of this stand. Our 42" tv fits perfectly on it & it's sturdy. I purchased this TV stand to replace my old scratched up stand. I was looking for something with this style and that would match my other living room funiture. The stand that I purchased was listed as Dark Walnut but let me tell you, it looks nothing like my other living room furniture that is Dark Walnut. This stand while it is very nice, it is Cherry, maybe a brighter red cherry than normal. It does not come close to matching my dark Walnut furniture.

The assembly for the stand was straight forward. I put it together by myself in about 2 hours. The shipping cost for this product was kinda high but when it arrived I see why it was so much. You might need two people to carry the one of the two boxes that it comes in. The stand was packed very well in the boxes, which I am glad, since UPS did not take too much care with it.

The only complaints that I have with this stand are:

the color is not Dark Walnut.

With my big screen TV on the stand the middle shelf is bowing down. I am going to have to make some supports for under the middle shelf to prop it up. While the stand is quite heavily built it will need some help with the middle shelf.

I love this entertainment center. It was easy to assemble under 1 hour for me and my husband to put together and it looks great. I have recieved tons of compliments on it and it fits in my small living room perfect. The only reason it got 4 stars and not 5 was because it had 2 small scratches on it when it arrived and the center shelf is not reenforced. it seems to be bowing from the weight of my dvd player and cable box.

I don't know why I went so many years with nails and screws squirrelled away all over the shop. I've now got most everything organized and put into bins and I still have 10 spare bins.

First the bad news: the shelving unit must be assembled and it is a pain to put together. It required all of my manual dexterity to hold each nut on the inside of a shelf corner while threading each bolt through from the outside. It took a fair amount of patience but other than that the assembly was straight forward.

The good news: I am a Prime customer and the shipping was free. I had originally tried ordering it through the Northern Tools web site and the site concluded it needed to be shipped via truck freight since the total weight is 150 lbs. They wanted $300 to ship it! I figured it was probably in several smaller boxes so I ordered it on the Amazon site and, like I said, the shipping was free. UPS delivered it a week later in 6 boxes.

The shelving unit is made of a fairly heavy gauge steel and is plenty sturdy. The plastic bins are the right size for the fastener quantities I buy. I used 3x5 card stock cut to fit the slots on the front of each bin to label the bins. Now I can tell at a glance where to look to locate the faster I need. I am a happy camper!

Component DVD Shelf Wall Mountable w/cable management for TV Mount

We decided to buy two of these shelves & mount them one on top of each other. It turned out better than I would have thought. The shelves seem extremely sturdy and well made. They are a gorgeous black glass & the back part has plenty of space to hide all wires. Would recommend this product to anyone at all. They shipped quickly too & were not too pricey!

Very nice looking glass shelves. I had no trouble assembling and mounting it myself. Although, getting it perfectly level is almost impossible, I did get it very close. The cable management is fair. There's a trick to it though. Run as many of your wires as you can before you attach it to the wall. Otherwise, the hole at the top isn't big enough after an HDMI or two. This can also reduce the risk of fraying your wires because parts of the back plate aren't smoothed very well.

The weight specifications in the description are not he same as what is printed on the box. The box says 75 lbs., if I recall correctly. It doesn't really matter which is correct (although I'm inclined to believe the box). It's unlikely that you have any heavy equipment that will fit.

From the description: "? Any Other Audio Video Component." While this is technically correct, it's also meaningless. Yes an amplifier/receiver will fit on one of the shelves but that's it. There isn't enough room to connect A/V cables or speaker wire, with or without banana plugs. The shelves would need to be at least another three inches deeper to be suitable for a receiver. Regardless, I din't buy it for my receiver and neither should anyone else. It's fine for just about any other equipment I can think.

I have a Wii and Wiimote induction charger on the top shelf. Middle is for the Blu-ray player. The bottom shelf has my wireless keyboard and a line conditioner.

All in all, I like it. The fact that I couldn't get it perfectly level is the only thing that really bothered.

This shelf is very sytlish and looks beautiful on our wall below my tv mount. The black finish on the columns is a polished finished and blends in with my black tv. The glass shelves are very heavy duty. The glass seems thicker and heavier than other models I have seen but cannot be sure. The cable management column is a little tight for many cables I have behind it , but I prefer the slim profile which offers better aesthetics. Overall great value and functionality from this shelf. I would buy again.

The quality for the price is unbeatable. However, if you only have simple components, DVD, Wii, Cable box, this shelf unit is over kill. We ended up keeping the shelf unit even after seeing how large it was. The shipping to send it back would have been outragous, it is so heavy. Would have given 5 stars but the assembly was really awkward not hard but the weight of the shelves kept moving the pieces which made it hard to fasten together.

When it arrived one of the door stiles was cracked. I had to glue it together before assembly. It was easy to put together but could have taken stain better. All-in-all we are happy the way it turned out and it is quite usefull to us.

The cabinet came in about 20 pieces and it took about an hour to put it together. No special tools required, the instructions are very detailed and accurate. We are impressed by the high quality and craftsmanship. Very nice addition to our home.

Oxford Bookcase

I ordered two of these bookcases to use in my pantry. They went together easily and look quite good given the low cost. They aren't real wood, but MDF for the main components and hardboard on the back. I didn't like the back. It took the paint a little differently so that it didn't quite match (I replaced the backs with 1/8" luan). They also forgot to drill it at the bottom. But, it wasn't a real problem. You just need a couple of screwdrivers (and, in my case, a drill) to put it together. One thing I don't like is all of the off-gassing. I have never smelled such a stinky piece of furniture. Fortunately, the weather has been good. I put it together with all of the doors open then put it into the pantry with the door closed and the window open. A week later, it's still stinky in there, but getting better!

It arrived onetime. Packaging was safe and not so heavy that my son , a 14 year old could not handle. Very easy to put together. Recommended

The pieces on the back of the shelf are not the same white as the rest of the shelf, but as soon as we filled it up that didn't really matter. I recently received the shelf and realized that the picture and the actual shelf do not match. Suffice it to say it's my own fault for not paying more attention to the height but they shouldn't post up a photo if it's not the same item. That's what I get for rush shopping. Just a word of warning.

Speaking on the item itself, the materials are nice and did not come damaged. I have ordered from this company before and they have good items, very nice designs. I'll still keep it and put it in another place but wish the listing was accurately displayed...hence the 3 stars.

I recently ordered this stand from Abes of Maine and it arrived in perfect condition. It looks fantastic, it's sturdy and the metal mesh rear panel with cable routing holes hides all the wires behind. My stand has a total of four wire routing holes, not two as the advertising photo shows. Four holes are better than two....

What I REALLY like is that the very heavy smoked glass shelves do not hang from some flimsy little plastic tabs, they rest on the unit's very sturdy steel frame, of course with little rubber protectors you apply to the top surfaces of the frame first. The semi gloss black finish does not reflect as much light as some high gloss stands I've seen in stores. And there are no ridiculous chrome accents. Once assembled and set in place I needed a helper to lift the stand up while I adjusted the feet. It helped to actually have a level.

It's perfect in width for a 52-inch lcd tv. And its 22-inch height sets the center of the tv screen at just about the proper height for viewing.

Unpacking and removing the protective foam from each frame piece took some time. The glass shelves required some dutiful cleaning to remove tiny fibers. Anti static spray on cloth helped. My Onkyo amp had no trouble fitting into the second shelf, which has 10 inches of space from top to bottom, but the best access is not from the front, which has an overhang, but from either side.... The lower level shelf has about 8.5 inches of clearance from top to bottom, so that would be a tighter fit for my amp.

The assembly instructions were simple to follow. It all fit together with ease. The only tool needed was a hex wrench, and one was included in the parts bag. It helped not using my Superman grip when tightening the machine screws during assembly, as some of the frame pieces needed to move a bit for proper alignment.

Overall, I can't imagine a better stand at the price this is selling for.

This is a heavy duty steel tv unit. It consists of about 7 pieces of steel, 3 pieces of heavy tempered smoked glass and appropriate fixings to bolt it altogether (glass is not attached).

It took about 30 minutes to unpack and assemble with supplied allen key. It is supporting a 50inch plasma (Pioneer) which fits just right and everything is in proportion.

I am very satisfied with this unit: it is simple, strong and functional. Aesthetics are always a personal thing but I am very happy with the way this stand looks and although I think the focus with this unit is more function, the form is right up my street.

Do not expect anything sophisticated in terms of wire management: there are 2 holes in the steel mesh at the rear and that is pretty much it. This works for me though, I think the mesh does a nice job of concealing the wires.

All in all a first rate purchase at a very reasonable price.

I had a problem, a very nice expensive large screen (61") entertainment setup for a projection TV and had just purchased a 56" flat panel. So I have a $3,500 piece of unusable furniture that no-body wants. It was recommended that I get a stand and try that, after all I needed one no matter what. However, I wanted high quality; I shopped several and settled on this.

It arrived and I was struck at the quality and attention to detail, this is not something you get at a department store, but would expect to find at an exclusive electronics type store. The hardware is all reinforced and fits perfect. The materials are powder-coated and very heavy duty. I had it together in about 30 minutes, everything fit perfect and there were no missing parts. I put my new flat screen on it and slid it into the area where my big projection set had been and viola, it looks fantastic, better than what it had with the designed for TV.

This is a product that I highly recommend and I would not say it if it was not true, I do think it will exceed your expectations.

I am thrilled with this stand, which I bought on amazon for around $200 late in 2010. The package was extremely heavy (obviously) but still could be slid on the floor to be moved. I can't directly comment on the difficulty of assembling it, as my brother did it (I can't screw in a screw with directions), but I will say it sure looked very difficult, and it took him longer than he thought it would. I would recommend you assume it will be somewhat difficult to asseemble -there are a metric boatload of individual parts and putting them altogether will take more than an hour and some handiness talent.

But what is an hour or two of assembly for a product that will last you for years? This thing is very heavy, incredibly sturdy, and houses my 55 inch Samsung UN55C8000 (sitting on top of it) with no trouble at all. I have inside of this unit a receiver, a blu ray player a tivo premier box, a tuning adapter, a center channel speaker, and several manuals. There is plenty of room for all of this; in fact I could easily add one more full size electronics component, such as a dvd or a wii, as well as a few very small ones, such as an Iphone dock.

I have no doubt that this thing was engineered to last, and can easily hold the weight that it says it can hold. Despite what I think is a somewhat difficult setup, I give it 5 stars (and I am a tough grader) because for the price it is as solid as you can possibly imagine and looks pretty darn good as well. The other tv stands I priced online were at least $40 more expensive, and I can't see that they were even 1% better.

Knape & Vogt Mfg Co 9' Titan Shelf Bracket (Pack Of 10) Shelf Standard Bracket

Love these. The price was outstanding and the quality is there. I paid much less than they are listed at now... If you have the Knape and Vogt standards, you need these brackets. They have two holes drilled in each to attach the shelves to if you like. They are flat on top as well to allow for using a wider shelf than bracket (ie I have these on 10" wide shelves). I think these would likely be ok on up to 12" shelves, but I would not push them any wider. The slots mate perfectly and do not wobble. This was also a pack of brackets. It did in fact have 10 brackets, enough for 5 shelves if you are using two standards.

The only shocker I had was that the ones I ordered were a hamered silver/nickel color. I was thinking they'd be white, but looking back at the description, it doesn't say that. Either way, these are well worth the price and I will simply paint them when I get around to that. For now they are already installed and doing great!

Definately a best buy for Knape Vogt hd (the type with 2 slots on each side of the bracket or 4 total per bracket)shelve standards! Highly recommend.

FURINNO FNCJ-33002 Pine Solid Wood 4-Tier Bookshelf

This went together quick and easily. It holds a nice number of items. Shelves are fixed but nice spacing allows for mutli-size books, etc.

I purchased this shelving unit to match two other items (in pine) in my kitchen which I bought from Ikea. Unfortunately, Ikea did not offer any presentable shelving in pine, and after long search I decided to by Furinno. It's OK for the price but keep in mind that picture presented here is really flattering. It doesn't look that good out of the box. I wish it was one shelf higher, a bit deeper and sturdier all together. Other than that, it's an all right product but I think I'll be looking further for something more impressive. Assembly wasn't complicated (I'm a woman).
