This product works as advertised. It is a sturdy build that fits snuggly under my pantry shelf. I am able to fit much of my food storage products: plastic wrap, aluminum wrap, 2 boxes of bags.

This was purchased because it is wide enough to accommodate the two main colors of 8 1/2x11 cardstock I use to make cards. I turn the two stacks, narrow side facing out and now I have the most used cardstock readily available without hanging anymore shelves on already overcrowded walls! The shelf is sturdy enough to hold a nice stack of white and ivory cardstock!

This shelf is about 19" wide and about 10" deep at the top. The shelf narrows to the bottom part. The brackets accommodate a shelf with a maximum of 1" thickness, making it a little wobbly for thinner shelves, like mine. These are sturdy but the wobbliness means that I can't put things that might roll out and break. This limits their use in my pantry to lighter things that won't make the shelf droop and those that can't break. I bought a few and they have been very useful for uncluttering my pantry a bit.

I live in an apartment with a tiny (even for an apartment) kitchen. The cabinet space is laughable so I really needed to find a solution that gave me a little more shelf space.

These Schulte under shelf baskets are ideal and work perfectly for what I need. They fit nicely just inside the cabinet so that the doors can easily close, and the arms that hold the basket in place are long enough that they're fairly stable.

I do dislike that they don't have any sort of grip, so they slide off REALLY easily. It's enough of an annoyance that I took a star away because of it, but the baskets are worth purchasing despite that.

I just moved to a new house and the new bathroom counter is a lot smaller than what I used to have. There are also less drawers so I had to lay everything out on the counter. I hate having bottles all scattered around so I started looking for a two/three-tier corner organizer. All the ones I came across are either too big, too expensive or made with cheap plastic. This one fits perfectly in the smaller little corner and my budget. You can see the dimension of the storage space in the picture I took. Even though it's smaller than other organizers, I was able to fit a lot of stuff on it. It seems study enough so I'm hoping the top rack won't fall down later. I'll update my review it does. I also love that the design is very simple, but still stylist, and the wood color matches my cabinets.

Over The Door Pantry Organizer

this shelf is a piece of junk. The dimensions on Amazon said l4.4 x10 x10 which would work on my narrow pantry door and the box states 17 x5.25 x51. Doesn't work.

In the last fifteen minutes I have received my package, installed the organizer and loaded it with canned goods and packages of pasta. The hardest part was deciding what to put in it.

The trick to this product is to hang it on a REAL door. It is designed to hang on a normal interior door. Mine is on the back of my laundry closet.

It is sturdy. It is holding a lot of weight. It does not wiggle or slip when I open and close the door. I even gave the door a "slam" and everything stayed right where I had put it.

I love this.

I live in an apartment and finding something sturdy enough to be useful without having to drill holes in the walls is tricky.

For a rack that fits over the door rather than screwing into it, this item is perfectly adequate. As other reviewers have mentioned. it does sway when you close the door, but it's not a big deal. Maybe try shutting the door gently... just a thought. The good people of the Command adhesive product line make a cord clip that solves the problem neatlysans holes in your doors.

Part of the problem was my pantry door is smaller than the standard door. The other part was the product was too flimsy to even attempt to work right. It felt like I was hanging baskets on uneven lengths of chain link. I will never use a product like this that comes in this many pieces.

This shelf is sturdy, and a perfect size for storing food items. I had a tall empty cabinet in my kitchen and I put this inside of it for storage. I'm sure it will stay together and hold plenty of weight. I considered wire storage cubes but all the reviews talked about them coming apart. The adjustable feet make it easy to keep it nice and stable on an uneven floor. I put it together in about 10 minutes, and it shipped really quickly. I'd highly recommend.

April 2013 I received the new feet and had the same problem. The feet would only turn a couple of times and 3/4 of the screw continued to show. The problem seems to be within the shelving pieces that the feet screw into. I contemplated buying another as most buyers didn't seem to have any problems but decided to go with the Convenience Concepts 8017S X-Tra Storage 4-Tier Folding Metal Shelf instead.

The feet provided on the shelving unit I received would not screw in all the way. In fact I could only screw them in for a couple of turns and then could go no further. This left about 3/4 of the screw showing. I had bought a competitors shelving unit also and those feet screwed all the way in so I know how these should work. I have called the manufacturer and they are sending out new feet. Unfortunately I don't think that's going to solve the problem.

The shelf itself is great and I am using on carpet without the feet. It's very heavy duty and stable. I'd order another one but I'm not sure that I want another unit with feet that I can't use.

I was planning on using this in the cupboard under the sink, along with the matching trash basket. Well, the baskets (all of them) are too high up (too close to the hooks) to be able to fit. Not sure where the makers intended this to be used, but none of them can be used in a sink-cupborad. BIG let-down.

I bought it to my bathroom because the bathtub has very narrow edges and hence no space for lodging shampoo and conditioner bottles and the like. The bathtub has a small handrail, and that's exactly where I hung this basket. It is the perfect size for 1 liter shampoo and conditioner bottles, and there is extra space I can fill with other stuff. It is narrow enough so that it doesn't stand in the way while showering (I knew that beforehand because all the dimensions are reported by the seller).

It is true that the cubbies are not that big. You certainly can't fit boots, but you can fit adult sized gym shoes when you turn them on their side. You could also fit more than one pair of kid's shoes in each cubby. I am using it in our entryway in order to clean up the space. It certainly organizes the shoes and keeps the area looking much less cluttered! I have the unit sitting on the ground which works nicely. Also, it was very easy to assemble.

For this much money I thought it would have a back to it. I wear a womans size 8 8 1/2 shoe and some of my heavier shoes don't fit in it. Very flimsy. The inside shelves move in and out so I may glue it down. I do like the color but all in all I thought it would be heavy duty/nicer quality. Rubermaid is usually overpriced.

I got two of these shoe cubbies five years ago, and now I am buying two more. I was surprised to read so negative reviews! These shoe organizers work great for my family: They take little space for how many pairs of shoes they hold. My husband is the only one who uses a hole for each shoe. I set each cubby with the 3-hole side on the floor, so I can fit two cubbies in the closet. Some of the other customers who complained about the tight holes might want to put each pair of shoes the same way you see them in a shoebox in a store the shoes are facing, with the toebox of a shoe over the heel of the other shoe. We got this as part of our Rubbermaid Configurations set. It's an awesome modular closet set. It's one of the best out there.

This piece is nice and looks great. However it isn't quiet as sturdy as the other pieces and you need to have small feet to get your shoes to fit in the cubbies.

This is a nice looking piece though and goes with a great system. If you're short on space I'd recommend the drawers over this piece, but if you have enough space this is a great addition.

I bought this rack because I live in the city because I don't have any closet space and a small room and this was relatively small and cheap. It hasn't even been 3 months and the rack broke. I didn't even fill the rack half full of clothing when the metal poles at the top sank into the metal poles at the bottom (the only thing holding the metal poles up is the pressure from a piece of plastic where the metal poles connect). So I could live with the sunken rack, but the plastic on the bottom where the wheels are completely snapped in half...save the $30 and try to buy a REAL wardrobe!

I bought this garment rack from amazon intending to hang quite a number of coats which we use regularly. The assembly requires two people. The base is the toughest part to assemble. Once you are done assembling it you can hang any coat or garment. Easily you can hang 6-8 jackets and keep stuff on the top rack and shoes beneath. The unit maintains stability and is fully mobile. As long as you have space to keep it this rack should be fine.

The shelf is not in great shape and you can see dents that were finished over. Also, the support that must be attached to the wall is too small for the shelf. It is the same size as the one for the 24" shelf. I had to drill new holes in it and attached the support to a bean to keep the shelf at a 90 degree angle to the wall.

Buy new anchors, I used 75 pound rated plastic achors you can buy at your local hardware store. I used 5 of them on each shelf. Was easy to mount and was sturdy, not wobbly. I bought 2 of the 48 inch and 1 of the 36 inch for my basement living room. I posted a pic, they hold many items well. It came well packaged and there were no dents or dings either...

There was a hug dent on the front face of the shelf when we received it. We decided to cover it up with ribbon so we wouldn't have to deal with returning it. The bracketing was very weak for a relatively heavy floating shelf so we had to purchase L-brackets to support it. I paid approximately $13 for the shelf and another $12 for shipping. I would have been okay with just the cost of the shelf for what we received but $25 for the terrible shelf was a waste.

I am not an avid review writer yet I feel compelled to write this to spare others the sheer frustration and agony I experienced assembling this monster. So i put the sucker together earlier today and it took me a whopping 3 hours. What in the world. Also, the finished product was super unsteady, wobbling all over the place. I wondered what the hell the other reviewers were talking about sturdy my behind! In spite of that, I fully stocked the shelves with clothes, though I didn't dare hang anything until I mounted the son of a gun to the wall otherwise that monster was begging to come down. Heck, I'm surprised it didn't topple over and knock me out as I sat 2 feet away from it, staring, filled with regret. I kept gazing over at it throughout the day..terrified it would collapse and in the process perhaps murder human visitors and pets alike. Super uneasy, I logged back on to amazon and zoomed in on the stock photos of the thing. Theirs looked different. Very Different. Where the heck were all the black sleeves? Finally, I realized my mistake! I PUT ALL THE SHELVES ON UPSDE DOWN LIP UP! And I cannot for the life of me understand how you all didn't do the same thing. Why on earth would I assume it went down. Up makes more sense. Like a basket. Anyways, long story slightly less long...I disassembled and then reassembled and 45 minutes later I have work of art. I'm still scared to hang stuff on it before mounting(bad experience with other makeshift closets) but this beast is lookin good. UPDATE: STILL THRILLED WITH MY PURCHASE, BEST BUY EVER!

Very sturdy, easily put together -although repetitive and time consuming. Holds plenty of clothes and jackets and i have at least 60 hanging things on it. Exactly what I expected. Perfect for what I needed. Extra clothes wardrobe.

The drawback is that the height could be a little taller, meaning the shirts are too long as to fit on the upper and lower shelf simulataneously, because the bottom portion of the shirts drape on the floor if shirts are on lower tier. (if shirts are on upper tier they hang overtop the lower tier). Does that make sense???? In other words, if you hang two shirts up, one lower and one upper, one of the two shirts is going to either be touching the floor, or touching the lower tier where other clothers are hanging. Could be 6 inches taller i guess. Or just hang pants and shirts on different tiers?

But then again, I am a man, so female clothing would probably not overlap when hanging as much. I wear larges. This was my only concern, otherwise its perfect for what i needed.

I recently built a new house, and can't afford the built in closet that I want at the moment, so rather than just installing closet rods, I decided to buy a couple of these until I can afford to do what I really want.

Assembly is fairly simple, and the instructions are sufficient, if not as detailed as I would like. It took about 45 minutes to completely assemble the first one, and I expect the second one to take 25 minutes or so.

I am pretty satisfied with the sturdiness, although you cannot completely expand the rods and keep the stability. I would say you lose about 6-8 inches length.

The organizer is OK to look at, but would have been more attractive in a brushed chrome finish instead.

It includes a little strap to screw it to the wall to increase stability, but if I load it up enough to make it wobbly, I will probably brace it with something other than a little cloth strap.

This is a beautiful solution to my wardrobe problem. I will concur with the other reviewer it could use another 6 inches as it is. I moved the bottom bar down one notch and the top bar up one notch so the top bars clothes dont hang into the bottoms bar but this leaves a bottom rack that is only good for skirts and shorts! it is problematic however I have loads of skirts and shorts so it works for me. If you are tall this probably will b e aggravating for you but if your petite this is an amazing sturdy really nice rack. It expands a long way you can fit tons of clothes on it without any problems :)

I use these closet organizers for an odd purpose: convention/expo shelving. Typical convention booth structures cost thousands of dollars. I can buy one of these shelving units, have it shipped free (Prime membership, baby) to the convention city and set it up in less than 30 minutes. I turn the top two shelves out at about waist height so I can put brochures and other paperwork on them and use the other shelves to display my products.

The chrome shines nicely under convention floor lights and looks extremely professional. Best part? I don't pay to ship it home. I drop it off at a local charity thrift store to be sold and benefit the people in the community where I have just exhibited.

It does take some planning to put this thing together and the layout that the instructions suggest might not be the best for you. You should consider that it will take you at least two builds to get this thing the way you really want it. But it's worth the effort. Oh, and don't forget that you have to put everything on in order, starting from the bottom up. So if you want to add a piece in the middle, you'll have to take all the stuff above it off. I use a rubber mallet to seat the shelves and to take it apart when I'm done at the convention.

We like this entertainment stand. We like the height for our 60" Samsung TV on the top.

The only drawback we found was the depth of the compartments is a little tight. We've had to leave the doors off so far to fit our receiver and HTPC. We could also cut a hole in the back or leave it off, but that's not what we've done so far...

Inner width of each of the three compartments: 17.5 inches.

Inner depth of each of the shelves: 15.5 inches.

We bought this TV stand because we really liked the looks and dark finish. This has a straight black finish, without any significant wood grain. Others we saw were either a lighter color or a "distressed" finish that while nice looking, had variations in the color. We also liked having the drawer and the plain glass doors that are easy to see components through. It's quite functional and versatile for many tv sizes. Assembly was pretty easy and the finished product is sturdy and offers a fair amount of flexibility. The limited shelf heights and lack of adequate venting behind the glass doors are two areas of improvement. The cord hole in the top of the unit is functional if you place your tv on the stand, but might be an eyesore if you plan to wall-mount the tv.

Functionality:

The biggest drawback for us was that the shelves, when you use all three are too small for DVD cases when standing vertically. You can arrange the shelves to use two of them to hold blu rays, but the third will still be too small. The shelf holes don't extend all the way down to the floor of the unit, which also limits how low you can put the bottom shelf.

Otherwise, It's a nice, seemingly durable unit that looks great with flat screens. It's a nice height which keeps it from being too low, but doesn't make you crane your neck like sitting in the front row of a movie theater.

The table-top has a single hole in the center, near the rear (wall) side of it to allow for cords from the top to go into the top-center shelf space. The hold makes use of a typical grommet and cap for finishing off the look and keeping cords organized. If you're planning to wall-mount your tv, be aware that this hole/grommet will be visible on the top of the unit!

That center shelf space also has a hole in the rear wall of the unit. So do each of the other shelf spaces. They are fairly small in diameter about 1.5", and the shelves sit against the rear wall. You could probably cheat the shelves about 1/4" for very thin wires, but you won't be running component cables, multiple hdmi, etc behind the shelves. Otherwise, the shelves will either hit the glass door or be further out than the face of the unit. With the small holes in the rear and shelves that fit tight against the rear, there's not a whole lot of air flow or venting for hot components. You may want to cut your own larger vents for use with components that generate a lot of heat.

The front edge of the table-top is nicely rounded (except the side corners), which make it nice for toddlers and it also helps prevent the veneer from being obvious on that top-front. This added to the visual appeal for me. The drawer has faux-maple wood on the inside, including a textured faux woodgrain bottom.

Lastly, this unit is too low to the ground to fit a power strip underneath it. We have a power strip with two rows of outlets, which many home-theater strips do, and once you plug your cords into it, they are too high to fit underneath. The unit is so low, you can stand the strip on its side, either. If your outlets are behind the unit, you'll want power strips that have the flat-profile plug unless you don't plan on putting the unit a couple inches out from the wall.

Damage:

Ours had 1 scratched shelf (so I just put the scratch on the bottom so it isn't seen) and the long bottom molding does have some damage that I'm going to call Sauder for a replacement.

Assembly:

This was one of the easiest units to put together. No glue, dowels, or misaligned holes. It's a combination of the typical cam-locks as well as a new type of cam lock that doesn't use the metal peg in the adjoining piece of wood. Instead, the hole for the cam is cut all the way through the edge of the main piece and the cam itself has a peg attached to it. The peg goes into the hole of the adjoining piece and when the cam is turned, it forces a sleeve on the peg to expand and pull the two pieces together. You do have to hold the two pieces tight together when doing this, so that's the down side, but the upside is that it's less hardware and less screwing things into place. Overall one of the easier pieces to assemble with fairly clear directions including tips on where the finished edges should be pointing.

The unit also has two supports under the center of the unit, directly below the vertical pieces of wood that separate the shelf bays. A note on these: there is a piece of wood you attach the bottom of the unit for each support leg. Then you have to hammer the plastic support foot into the hole of the wood spacer. Be sure to hammer it in all the way.

Aligning the doors can be a bit tricky, but it's the standard adjustable hinge, so no real surprises. The drawer is also easy to put together and they use a clip and nail to hold the bottom panel in place.

The backing easy to put on upside down, which I did and didn't notice until I had 40+ nails into it. Visually, this didn't make any difference, but my vent holes are in all the wrong places. I was able to use a couple, but for some shelves I'll have to cut my own now.

One last tip, front trim easy to leave visible unfinished edges showing if you're not careful. This piece attaches with plastic L-brackets. Do your best on lining them up to the edge of the wood as the instructions show, but you want the top of the molding to be just a hair or two higher than the bottom piece of wood since it's an unfinished edge. Work from one side to the other. Once everything is attached, slightly loosen the screw that attaches to the main unit (not the one that goes into the molding). Doing one screw at a time, loosen, push the molding very tight against the main unit, then tighten down the screw again. This gets you a nice, tight seam between the two pieces.

Conclusion:

Very nice piece of put-together furniture. Average materials, above average looks, and below-average difficulty to assemble. It's not perfect, but pretty close.

Item was delivered one day early but to my next door neighbors house in error.

Box was well protected with additional card board on outside and Styrofoam on the inside.

All of the parts were in the box, however, the top piece had a minor dent/damage about the size of 1/2 inch wide by 2 inched long.

Instruction manual was easy to read and understand. Took about 1.5 hours.

The reason for 3 stars is because there are 2 support blocks that have to be installed underneath the unit. If you do not, the entire piece will sag under the weight of the TV. The problem was they were too large and caused the stand to "bow" in the middle, thus the unit was not stable. I had to use a dremel kit to cut off about 3/8 of each to get it sturdy. Even after that, I had to use shims on one side to level the unit.

It is particle board and does look good with my Samsung 64" plasma. But for $229.00, it does what I need it to do.
