Island looks great, is easy to put together. We had it set up for 2 days and the first guests who sat down to eat, leaned their elbows on the table flap and it fell apart. Everything about the table we love, but the one piece that so obviously needs to be of sturdy construction is held up with tiny 1/4 inch wood screws, a flimsy hinge and poor design. Once somone puts the slightest amount of weight on the table flap the screws rip out of the wood and the hinges bend to a useless shape. We are so disappointed in this piece that I would not recommend it to anyone, unless you never plan to put the flap up and use it as a table.

If you have patience, I'm sure one person could manage the construction of this island w/ some effort. I would have likely needed help, considering I'm a 5' tall chick. ...My boyfriend, thankfully, is VERY handy, and he did it all himself after I dragged the boxes in from the front door. He had this bugger together in less than an hour, all on his own. --He usually hates when I order things online, but he could not stop commenting on how well constructed the pieces were (real wood), and how easy this was to put together.

Aside from the high price tag, I decided it was worth it, and have admired it more and more over time.

I'm uncertain what problems people may have had with assembly or construction with the 'leaf' falling down on them (I almost did NOT order this product due to those reviews), but I've had several young children, adults, construction workers, and my lazy-self all leaning up against the leaf, and it holds just fine...real wood and all. Just make sure you 'secure' the holders for it, and we've had no troubles at all.

Everyone comments that it looks like it was built especially for my kitchen, but I know I can take it with me if ever I move. The extra storage is WAY a god-send, and the quality of the wood and pieces are the best I've seen in stores OR in 'self-assembly' furniture.

Well I never give a 5 rating, so that being said...I thought my husband was either going to kill my sons who were helping him or have a heart attack from frustration. However, I don't think anything solid should beTHAT easy...now that its together, took a little over two hours but he's a perfectionist, it looks great, heavy, solid, long overdo in my kitchen. I had read a review that the bar stools suggested with it were too high at 29 in., but I ordered them and I'm 5'8 so I have long legs and am not tiny but there is more than enough room to sit right under the leaf with several inches of room. Very comfortable. We actually ordered 3 stools and though only two fit under the leaf, its still comfortable to place a stool on the ends for more seating. I was also concerned from the picture that the holes for the adjustable shelves would be an eyesore but I don't even notice them. Now I just have to decide how I'm going to use the extra storage. Highly recommend.

Great piece of furniture! We love it. Although the saddle stools that were recommended are too high for the breakfast bar. The 24' saddle stools would be a much better height.

This island came quickly after we ordered it via FedEx. The product was well package and not damaged during shipping. Initially the assembly was a challenge. Following the assembly instructions to assembly the back while it was lying flat did not work. You cannot lift the back for the next step of attaching it to the base. The solution was to begin the assembly with the back in the vertical mode and attach it to the base piece by piece. This works. Next the holes to attach the top to the body did not line up. I had to put in a different screw for one hole out of four. The screws attaching the leaf were smaller that those used on the other side of the hinge. I went and got a larger screw for this hinge. I used #6-1/2 screws to make a stronger joint. Also add a little oil to the hinges for smooth action.

Changer Finish: Mocha

Our nursery is small and limited in space so we decided to purchase this dresser/changer because it was a perfect fit. It came very well packaged and with no damage. My husband took our son out & I stayed behind to put the dresser together. I was 7 months pregnant with twins at that point. It took me, all by myself, a total of 3 hours to put together. I spent a long time trying to figure out how the drawer glides needed to be installed in order to work correctly. The directions were not clear in that aspect hence the loss of a star in my rating. The dresser itself is solid wood except for the drawer sides, back, and bottom. Put together correctly, the drawers are solid and can be filled with clothing, bedding, etc. without any compromise to the structure. I am very happy with this purchase and I recommend it to anyone who needs to furnish a tight space. Just pay close attention to the drawer glides before you attach them to the furniture.

Floating Shelf 24"W x 4"D

We bought two of these shelves and they came out of the box looking just as we had hoped they would color was perfect, and they were well-made and sturdy. Unfortunately, when we hung them using the included wall anchors, it didn't take 3 minutes for one of them to pop right out of the wall. My husband, luckily, had some higher-quality wall anchors in his tool box, so we re-hung the shelves using those instead, and we haven't worried a bit about them since. I'd recommend the shelves themselves, but strongly advise that you invest in some different hardware and not trust what's included.

It is a very nice wood shelf. It has a nice weight, a pretty finish and looks great in the room.

These shelves do not look like the picture when you receive them. They look very cheap and do not hang securely. They were so angled when they were installed that I couldn't even put anything on them. Do not waste your money like I did!

The shelf seems well made. It was difficult to mount it, since you have to put the mounting screws into the wall first, then mount the shelf on them. I would suggest that these shelves be installed by someone who is experienced in such things, or has a good background as a handyman.

Audio Rack in Glass and Aluminum Finish RTA AVM-005

The image of this rack looks good and the actual rack looks good from a distance.

Contrary to appearances, there are only 4 pieces that are solid aluminum. These are the 4 caps that are on the top shelf. The surface that contacts the top shelf are not finished, exibiting the rough saw cuts that came from dividing up the original aluminum rod stock. The perimeter edges are sharp as they were not beveled. Although turned to produce a finish, one can easily see several blemishes that must have come from poor handling during the manufacturing or packaging phases.

The legs are thin aluminum with plastic end-caps that hold metal insert nuts to accommodate the assembly. They too are blemished. The plastic end-caps appear to be the type of plastic that gets brittle and then breaks as it ages.

The glass shelving is thick and beveled, which is good to see. However, at least one sheet was gouged on its surface.

The legs, back-plate, top and bottom shelves are attached with bolts while the 3 other shelves are only attached at their fronts, resting on pegs at their rear. This has to be considered as the unit is moved into position, since the 3 middles shelves are only worthy of supporting a downward pressure, not sideways nudging or upward lifting.

Finally, the 14 bolts that hold the unit together pass through holes in the glass sheets. There are no guards to keep the metal of the bolts from contacting the glass, which might lead to the glass cracking. The review of another similar unit reported that the alignment of the legs was poor, and since the holes in the glass for the front legs are much larger than the bolts, one can see how the legs have a wide range of locations during assembly that detract from the finished unit. I put a couple wraps of black electric tape on the 4 rear bolts to prevent contact with the glass, and cut 1/4 inch segments of Tygon tubing to go into the 10 front holes to better control the alignment as well as to protect the glass from contacting the bolts.

Overall, the unit looks good if one squints. But with eyes wide open, you could do better.

Looks great in out living room -matches our TV stand. We are very pleased with it.

Expanded Shelf System (Natural) (62"H x 80"W x 15"D)

I just got the shelves a week ago, but so far I'm very pleased. I'm using them as two separate shelving units one for my clothes and the other for random stuff, including heavy textbooks.

They were easy to set up. Although there were no directions, you just had to put in 16 screws (hex key provided), then the shelves are place securely on the horizontal bamboo supports.

I recently purchased the bamboo book shelf on Amazon.com. It was a fantastic purchase. Even better than I expected. It was well worth the money I spent and I know it will be an excellent addition to my home for years to come.

Soundbar Riser Rectangular Top

After lucking out and getting my hands on an Atlantic Technology FS-7.0-GLB 7-channel surround bar (Gloss Black), I realized that I was going to need something to raise my LCD HDTV up high enough for me to not constantly have to arch my wrist in order to have the IR receiver in my TV pick up on the signal from the remote control. There began my search for an appropriate piece of entertainment center furniture.

I searched high and low online for the proper piece of furniture, and was ready to give up, considering how difficult it was to find anything suited to my needs. It wasn't so hard to find stands that were suited for raising a computer monitor up higher, but finding something sturdy that would hold my TV up and raise it higher on an existing entertainment center was nowhere near easy. It was starting to look like my only option was to buy a new entertainment center with a TV mount. NOT what I wanted to do! That didn't even address the need to find an actual cradle for my new surround bar. Forget about anything beyond a wall mount for that, which isn't an option for me, in my apartment with its sheetrock walls. There's a window behind my entertainment center, so any screwed-in mounting equipment wouldn't fit or hold properly anyway.

I was ready to totally give up when a Google search finally revealed a link for THIS solidly-built piece of furniture. It looked to be EXACTLY what I was looking for, even though the picture really didn't make it clear that it was the right size for my needs, or if the finish was going to be at all a decent quality. I decided to risk it, and boy, am I glad I did!

Wood Technology's Soundbar Riser Two lifts your TV up about 10", including the thickness of the wooden platform. And, unlike so many other items out there nowadays, it's made of SOLID hardwood, with a beautiful Ebony finish. Once it arrived (which took a few days, and a few phone calls more on that later), it was a SNAP to assemble. As long as you follow the very simple, basic directions, and have a Phillips head screwdriver on hand, it shouldn't take you more than five minutes (literally!), to assemble. It's super sturdy, and has its own solid weight approximately 11 lbs., so it'll hold your TV and sound bar just fine! The platform on which your TV will sit is a nice width and depth, and should accommodate just about any size TV that your average user or sports fan might be lucky enough to own. I can see this stand easily accommodating up to a 65" TV, so that covers a very broad spectrum of customers. Smart, on Wood Technology's part.

As far as the cutout area intended for soundbars goes, I was concerned, going by the photos on the product page, that this riser wouldn't be able to accommodate my Surround bar, but, once I had the riser in place, and the TV comfortably placed on top of it, I found that it cradled my surround bar PERFECTLY! No need for the cheapie-cheapie, unstable little legs that came with my particular sound bar. All I had to do was gently move the speaker wires out of the way, and lift the sound bar into the cutouts made for it. The riser is PERFECTLY stable with both the TV and sound bar placed appropriately on it. It's the completing piece to my existing Entertainment Center setup!

What proved to be a negative for me was the (potential) length of time that Wood Technology (via CSN Stores) takes in processing and shipping your orders. Mine DID arrive to me on the starting point of their 6 to 10 day window of time requested for order processing and shipment, but I'm pretty positive that I only got mine that quickly because I started contacting them daily after a few days of no apparent progress with my order.

I emailed CSN Stores after about four days of no progress with my order, and received a reply indicating that my order would ship out no SOONER than FOURTEEN BUSINESS DAYS after I'd placed it (NINETEEN calendar days)! I received that email, sent out a reply, then opted to look for a phone number for CSN Stores and call in about my concerns, which is when I got Hanna L. in Customer Service. Hanna was an absolute DELIGHT to deal with, and, over the course of a few days, maintained contact with me for updates. She was very diligent in finding out what the potential delay was, and did her best to get my order expedited. I have no doubt that it's thanks to her that I actually DID receive my order at the beginning of the shipment/order receipt window (thanks SO MUCH, Hanna! Tell your boss to give you a RAISE)! So, what COULD have been an unsatisfactory experience was turned around by some of the best individual Customer Service that I've experienced in YEARS.

Thanks to my experience with Hanna L., and the overall EXCELLENT quality of my Wood Technology Soundbar Riser Two, I would definitely try out more of their products. This item couldn't have been better suited to my needs if I'd had it custom-made (which is how it feels!), so if you've got a soundbar as part of your entertainment system's setup, I can't imagine that you'll find a better piece of furniture to accommodate it. There's nothing else out there that I've found to fit this specific need, and this stand/riser is very nicely made of solid wood, so, IMHO, it's worth EVERY penny!

Solid hardwood that fits together very well. It'll take you about 5 minutes to put it together. Word of advice use a hand screwdriver. An electric/battery powered screwdriver will quickly strip the furniture screw because of the torque. If this happens to you, grab some pliers to complete the screwing in. The screws extend about an inch from the bottom of the top plate when fully screwed in so it'll be easy.

Overall I really like the unit.

This soundbar riser is sturdy, attractive, and achieves its design objective admirably. Start with the premise that almost all "furniture" made for television or audio equipment is junk. This isn't. In fact, it is about as good as it gets. The unit assembles easily with a number 2 phillips (for the screws) and a number 1 phillips (for the twist-lock fittings). It takes less than five minutes to put together.

It supports the television with no wobble. (We mounted the vertical supports on the innermost [of three] possibilities to center the support under the TV stand.) Our main desire was, as another reviewer noted, to raise the bedroom television high enough so that the TV IR port would clear the soundbar, and avoid that twisty-wrist maneuvering with the remote. Achieved. As a bonus, the added height for the TV makes it more watchable, and the soundbar is secure.

Good design, good quality. Does what it is supposed to do, with style. What more could one require? Well, maybe speedy delivery. Took 20 days from order until delivery, but within the window promised. We would rather wait for something good, than get garbage quickly. Nice to be able to buy a solid American-made product

This stand takes about two weeks to get delivered.

I bought this TV riser to do two things, raise a flat screen tv up a few inches and provide a space for a sound bar. I thought the concept was good, a tv stand with a sound bar cradle incorporated below it. The stand is easy to put together and is very tall. I placed a 50" LG 50PX950 Plasma screen on top of it that websites says weighs 85lbs since it has a glass screen and stand. The sound bar system is a Sony HT-CT150 that I purchased from Amazon. Specs on the Wood Tech sound bar stand says it will support 120lbs, tv's up to 55". And it does, however it is slightly wobbly. For $100.00 I don't see why they did not place a little wood to the rear for extra support? The Sony Sound bar is 2" height, 32" length, so it looks very small sitting in the cradle area on this thing. There is a huge open area that you can see through above the soundbar up to the top board that supports the tv and the HDMI, Optial and power cords from the TV can be easily seen through it. Unless, you purchase a huge sound bar, the opening is almost 7", you will have a big void visible underneath the TV. Wood Tech should include a third support backing in the rear with an open area for power cords which will stabilize this thing for people with large TV's like me and black it out so the cords cant be seen in the rear. I have a Blue Ray player and a Satellite Joey Box underneath the sound bar in the cradle. My father bought a new Samsung 55" LED that weighs 25lbs, no problem if you own something like that, just the open void to look through. This stand will raise your TV 9" off whatever you place it on. The quality is good, just needs a little more. I've been thinking about going to H-Depot and buying some wood to screw into the rear...I shouldn't have to think about that after paying $95.00.

Now, as I'm a recent graduate and don't have a lot of money, I don't buy new piece of furniture often. So I was pretty excited when I splurged a little and got myself this media stand. I have a bunch of game systems and I figured this stand would be good for displaying them.

One problem is that because the green color is a veneer, during shipping it got bumped around a bit and the veneer peeled and chipped around the corners of the boards slightly. Luckily it was nothing hugely noticeable, but still pretty annoying when you're dropping $140 one a product.

Unfortunately, poor construction has rendered one of the glass shelves useless to me. One of the screw holes is actually too big for the screw, so I can't install one of the small pieces that is meant to support the glass. And this wasn't the only construction problem.

Many of the screws did not fit the pieces of the wood properly, or simply did not screw in all the way. An hour of extra work was required to get all of the pieces secure enough that I felt comfortable putting any weight on it.

I'm kind of disappointed, because if all of the pieces fit together properly this would be an awesome piece of furniture. Now that it's basically fully constructed I can't even send it back, because the hardware is so ill-fitting that it can't be taken apart. I'm probably going to just try to superglue the last support into place, and hope the other three take enough weight that it doesn't come unglued.

It looks great as a media tower in my living room. It's very sturdy, solid, and feels like it can hold a lot of weight.

I have an issue here, though. When it arrived, I put most of it together only to realize that crucial mollies were missing in order to install the glass shelves. So I have an audio tower without any glass shelves. Maybe it was poorly constructed at the factory?

Also, I was expecting some semblance of fake wood grain, but it's solid paint with no trace of wood grain, not even a fake laminate grain. It's ok, but I would have preferred a wood grain look.

Black Mountain Console Table

The console arrived on time and I proceeded to assemble it. The wood is solid and the pieces fit together nicely. However, when I used a damp cloth as instructed to clean the surface some of the markings did not come off. Upon closer inspection I could see how the top shelf, the most prominent and visible, had marks caused by something in the manufacturing process at the factory. They are unsightly and ruin the effect of the whole piece. I have tried damp cloths and wood surface products to no avail. At a brick and mortar store this item would be tagged "As Is" and reduced in price. It is far too much trouble to disassemble the console, package it and send it back. What a disappointment. The company should offer a discount in such cases. This is one more reason not to buy online.

This bookcase is certainly not high quality, but it seems to be as good as what you can get in this price range. It's the typical particle board you get at any target or walmart. I read the reviews saying it is not stable. Which I agreed with until my husband came home and tightened all the screws and put the back sections on properly (good thing for handy husbands :)). Seems to be perfectly stable now. There is an obvious line on the back "wall" because it's almost impossible for the 2 very thin particle boards to be perfectly straight, so after installing them we just laid some masking tape across the line where the 2 boards meet to seal them together which made the line hardly noticeable. I am not in love with the quality of it, so only gave 4 stars, but its a cute bookcase that fits well in my daughters room and I didnt have to spend hundreds of dollars to get it. So I am satisfied.

I just got these and installed them a couple of nights ago (I ordered two). I am really pleased with them. The C.D.'s are accessible and easy to see and sort in the individual "squares". I was finally able to put Mozart with Mozart and Bach with Bach and Alison Kraus with Alison Krause and Leo Kotke with Leo Kotke, etc. and etc. and etc. I think it is a great design! The black wire is there, but, doesn't take over like a wood shelf does. Also, it is fairly lightweight which made installation easy! We have hundreds of C.D.'s and storing them and organizing them has been a nightmare! I was interested in these because the product description said they each held 108 C.D.'s. I had my doubts, but, I'm here to tell you, they do! It is great to get some of our C.D.'s off the floor where we have to squat and use a flashlight to find one (on regular C.D. shelves). One thing to be aware of is that they do stick out from the wall (of course) and so I was unable to put them where I'd intended...on the hall wall. I was afraid they'd get in the way and get knocked around. I hung them over the bookcases that house DVD's, etc. and since they don't stick out any further than the shelves, they are safe! The diamond shape also gives you the opportunity to create a nice design on the wall. You can put them up against each other or separate them...they look great either way! If you are a media hog like we are and your C.D.'s are all over the place, these are a terrific solution!

We had been looking for a long time to find a CD storage system to fit in a narrow space behind a door. We purchased two of these based on other reviews and are extremely happy with them. They are easy to mount (we located our two vertically on a stud), look great and hold all of our CDs. More than one visitor has admired them and asked where they were purchased. If we expand our collection then we will buy more. The only drawback to the design is that if you place your CDs in the rack in an order and then acquire another CD that you want to put in the sequence then you may need to move many CDs if you have not left the space for expansion. Other than that minor inconvenience it is a five star product.

This is a very unique cd storage system that holds quite a few CD's. I ordered 2 of them, and filled them both up. It looks pretty cool, and is very handy as it hangs on the wall right next to my Stereo system. It's pretty easy to install, is quite sturdy, and looks like a piece of art (well as artful as a CD collection can look).

My only complaint is that it is hard to alphabetically organize CD's when they're hanging horizontal. This system does not hold A-typical CD boxes, and does not hold other media such as DVD's and games.

From the front, which is what you see in the picture, it looks great, but from the back, there are silver metal screws up against a black backing which looks cheap. The wheel locks leave something to be desired and putting it together was a huge headache. Considering the price, you really can't find something like this without paying more, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Instead of thinking I got a deal on this, I feel I got what I paid for.

This item does not have a finished side on one side yet it is called an island. It says some assembly required but it is a build your own island from many many pieces situation. They package multiple types of screw in one bag with letters on the bag but you can't tell which letter coordinates with which screw. The wheels do not lock but they are supposed to, so if you lean against the island you and the island go flying across the kitchen. The drawers are more shallow than the depth of the island which is not that deep. Plastic drawer guides. The pulls are so cheap they hardly weigh anything but are made of metal. The top is a smooth not brushed stainless so it shows every fingerprint. I do not recommend this item at all.

My wife bought this. I thought it was OK until I took the zillion pieces out of the box and started putting it together.

It's cheap, cheaply made, and the instructions are the worst I've ever seen. Putting it together is a total PITA. I came online to see if there were better instructions for it and this page came up first. This storage system is perfect for my kitchen window. I have a 'door size' window in my kitchen. This unit fits perfect, rolls out to clean floor under it. It holds my plants, and seedling starts. It has loads of usable space. The shelves are adjustable and it is strong. I expect it to last many years.

It was very easy to assemble and is attractive in my kitchen.

I was a little impatient putting them together and didn't read through all the instructions first so I had to redo the positioning of the shelf holders once or twice otherwise I feel these were well-packed, decent quality and easy to put together even for a 64 year old woman with arthritis in her hands. One dissapointment is that they tell you not to move the unit when the shelves are full and indeed the wheels don't want to roll under a load. Otherwise definitely recommended.

THIS IS A GREAT UNIT!

I bought it basically because I needed something with a small enough 'footprint' to fit in a very tight space, I needed it mobile, and I needed it strong. It manages all of that, and with style.

I use it to hold patient charts when the residents in our nursing home visit our doctors officeit's a small space, and I couldn't find a traditional 'chart rack' to fit, and hold enough charts. This shelf unit easily holds 12 or so charts on each shelf, and doesn't tip or get insteady... We are talking serious weight! It's fully mobile, even when loaded downthe doctors love that the unit can be rolled right next to their desk.

The only problem I have with this unitwhen putting it together, it's difficult to get the clamps (which the shelves rest on) completely even, and it can be tricky to get the shelves back off to readjust the clamps. On the plus side of that problem, the weight of the charts have ''settled'' the shelves pretty evenly.

Overall, a fantastic solution for a tight space at a very affordable price, and the mobility is a great asset.

The unit assembled easily and appears sturdy even when fully loaded. I had two of the super-cheap casters literally rip apart while moving the shelves for the first time with weight on them.

Suffering through Ikea on a Saturday with my wife this past week, I happened upon a set of 'Besta' wheels. A 2-pack was $10 so simple math yields that I upgraded all four wheels for $20. They are sturdy and attractive, and once you pop out the attachment screw that they ship with with a nail punch or similar, you can insert the properly sized threaded screw to mount to these shelves. I used a bit of Loctite as well. Shelves now wheel freely under full weight.

In case you've never had one of these before I figured I should describe in detail how the shelves get placed. The shelf legs are first screwed together (they are in pieces to allow for a shorter box). Then small plastic collars are placed on the legs. The collars have an extra rib on the inside that matches up with the small grooves visible on the legs. With this it allows for each shelf to be placed anywhere with a 1" resolution. The bottom shelf is a little tricky just because all 4 legs are loose, but after that assembly really is simple.

With that explanation out of the way, the assembly went well. Quality parts. Chose not to install the casters on the bottom but they were in the box and appeared to be of decent quality. Nice chrome finish, and the 5-shelf unit is nice and sturdy despite its height. I can imagine the shelves could easily take the 200lb load they are advertised to take in the description. I'd recommend this to others and will know where to buy more of these in the future if I need them.

My wife saw these "floating" bookshelves, and had to have a set. I bought her a couple different ones, including this one, for around the house. We put it in the kitchen, and it looks great with some of our lighter cookbooks on it. I would want to be a little careful about putting too much weight on it, but it has held up great so far. I'd say we have about 10-15 pounds of books on it.

This is a modern take on book shelf storage. This is unusual in its appearance, I don't think is is any better in terms of practicality but it has a "wow" factor to folks who have never seen it before. A bit pricey but well made and the instructions are clear and overall it's easy even for a klutz like me to assemble.

These are very unique shelves that are reasonably well made. They are a bit expensive, however. But they've held up better than I expected and I've received multiple compliments for them.

I was surprised that it did not hold normal sized books like my school text books, which is what I intendend to use it for. It is for novel sized books. I ended up putting DVD on it, as I dont have many novels. It fine for a DVD holder, but that was not my intent!

Fits perfectly in my nursery and is designed for easy access on everything with diapers and clothing. It did come damaged, chipped from storage in a warehouse or shipping. The chipping was in the back for us so we didn't address the issue with the seller. Be warned though, in case you need this immediately, it may come damaged and be prepared to return it if you can't deal with the chipping as we did. Otherwise, functionally, love this!

I bought these shelves recently and they are a really good buy. Three very nice shelves. I didn't expect them to be so attactive and substantial. They are actually well-supported with a second circular base beneath the main shelf surface. Based on a prior review of someone who said they didn't hold up, I too noticed that the hanging hardware provided in the package might not be strong enough to hold them on drywall. So for $2.00 I purchased some 30 lb drywall anchors from my local hardware store. I created a quick template for where to place the screws by using a 1 inch strip of white paper and 2 pieces of masking tape, taped to the back of the shelf. I traced the screw placement on the back of the shelf, and then taped the strip of paper to my wall. Placed my drywall anchors, and voila, a great shelf that is exactly what I wanted.

This shelf looks great, and my Mexican candlelabra looks great on my living room wall. I only wish I had them in white too, as that is the color of my office shelving. (Cherry is the color of my living room woods)

I got these to add more 'space' to my round dining room table, by adding height above it. I put napkins, condiments, my candle set etc.. and arranges them sorta like in the picture. they really accent the table, close to expresso/cherry mix. Solid wood, easy to install with a little skill and 15 minutes. They each have held a few pounds each with no problem. They are not meant for more (no bracket-less shelf is). Solid wood, finish is beautiful. Have had them for over a year now with no problems. Would buy again. I wish they would just say $25, free shipping then say 7 bucks with 15 shipping, but for 25 total, worth it.

I would not recommend anyone to buy these shelves. Perhaps they just don't hold up well in sheetrock, I wanted to put them in my bathroom, they sag and do not support themselves at all. I will probably end up buying some shelve brackets to support the weight.

I was mostly happy with these shelves when I got them. They're very heavy duty, which is nice. I was unhappy to see that one of them got damaged in the shipping. I didn't bother sending it back because I kind of needed the shelves and I was mostly using two out of the three anyway. The one downside of the shelves that I have found is that the hardware that came with them is NOT sufficient in the slightest. The screw works for the tiniest shelf just fine but any of the others wind up with a little slant to them because they're too heavy to sit flush against the wall even without anything on them. Personally... I think I'm going to need an L bracket just to keep the medium sized shelf comfortably on the wall and not have that looming wonder of when and if it's going to fall. I think the hardware should been reconsidered when packaging these wonderful looking shelves... but that's just me.

White Kitchen Rolling Microwave Cart With Power Strip

I have really enjoyed having this shelf in my kitchen. The outlets make it very very nice. My only complaint is that the screws are constantly coming loose and having to be re-tightened. It wouldn't be a big deal except that I have 3 small children and having a rickety shelf that tilts from side to side is not great. It has never even almost fallen over, but it makes a mommy a little nervous. I haven't put anything on the screws to make them stay or anything like that and that would be easily done. Overall this is a wonderful, thoughtfully made, useful product that I would recommend.

Arrived a few hours ago. FedEx did fine job. End of good news. This may be a decent Cart when put together---I don't know. Still pondering whether I want to bother. Had been repacked. Internal box had water or liquid stains and white mold along bottom horizontal, including discoloration and thin white mold on the couple of pressed wood pieces I was able to remove. Only way to get other pieces out is to destroy both boxes. Internal box had been reinforced with a Roll of Packing Tape, and sized strips of cardboard taped to it for further support. This is irritating to write!

I've been ripped off by "The Furniture Cove", and it is not a good feeling! They want me to take pictures of the discolored damaged internal box, so they can file a claim against the Shipper [FedEx], but FedEx is not to blame---they did a fine job of delivery---because the outer box was in near perfect condition. Isn't that amazing? Also funny how now that I've complained, they've pulled the product as "Not Available". BUYER BEWARE! "The Furniture Cove" is also selling a Black and Maple version of the same manufacture. They've ripped me off of $122.00 including the Shipping; no Return Merchandise Agreement ( RMA ) shipping lable included, and they'll charge you 25% Restocking Fee if you don't like what you received... This item looks great in the pictures on Amazon. I was very disappointed that the "power" strips are only good for two pronged appliances, most of mine are three pronged. It does hold a microwave nicely, but most other small appliances require being able to lift off or out of the base unit; as in a blender, crock pot, electric pressure cooker, etc. And, NO the pull-out shelf is not strong enough to hold these small appliances adequately when full of liquid or food items to do this, so I end up having to take the entire unit off of the cart to load and unload the appliance with food/liquid. It looks great, but is not the multi-purpose roller cart I had wanted for my kitchen!!!

I am somewhat disabled, and two ladies came to help put the thing together. One puts computers together and the other used to put houses together, so you'd think the three of us could do it, but no. Finally, a neighbor passing by heard the wails of three weeping women, came in, looked at what we'd done, and finished up the project in no time: about an hour.

Furthermore, the power strip for this microwave cart is not suitable for an appliance requiring a ground wire.

For what I paid to ship 2 of these units (over $80), one would think they would take care of the product during shipping. The delivery person dropped them onto a stair leading to my stoop causing damage to some of the shelves. However, poor treatment of the items is not just a problem with the way overpriced delivery service they use. The units were each double boxed and on one unit, the inner box was all ripped up in one area, so I know they were carelessly tossed around before final packaging for shipping. In addition to damage to several of the shelves, many of the little mounting screw hole tabs were bent and one even missing. The drawer assembly instructions are not detailed enough and the screws just pulled right out of the holes in the frame anyway. I would return them if it wasn't a giant pain. So for now I have these rickety carts in use. I do not recommend this product at all.

Cherry Book Shelf / Case Bookshelf Bookcase Rack Mission Style

This item looks very nice however I am using as a bookshelf for my cookbooks in the kitchen. The shelves are fixed height and are all too short for common 3 ring binder cookbooks such as Betty Crocker or Better Homes and Gardens. My husband simply removed a piece of wood from the top/front of the unit and glued down the actual top. This did reduce the structural integrity of the unit, but now my books actually fit on the top shelf. Not ideal, but opening the packaging was rough and we couldn't have returned the furniture.

It wasn't a deal breaker, but an extra inch in height on one shelf would have been ideal.

This is the third one of this bookcase I've purchased. I'm using two as nightstands in a guest bedroom and one as a bookcase in my home office. I've had the "nightstands" for about two years now. Being in a guest room, they don't get a tremendous amount of traffic, but there are no signs of wear.

They were easy to put together and seem pretty sturdy. The assembly instructions were kind of vague, but it really wasn't too hard to figure out. All the pieces were included. All the holes lined up. My very mechanically inclined husband assembled the first two, but I (much less mechanically gifted) put the last one together myself.

The cherry stain is just that -cherry. The finish on my units was all pretty even. I'm not an expert, but they seem like solid wood to me.

As another reviewer mentioned, the shelves are a fixed height. Only the top shelf (not the very top on the case) was tall enough for my taller books.

I wouldn't say this is high-end furniture, but for the price I didn't expect it. I don't think they'd hold up well in a child's room, but I'm happy with them in my adult only house.

The cherry finish looks good but there always seems to be some issue when assembling these kits. The packaging and protection of the box was great. However, There is a threaded insert in the wood pieces for the machine screws to attach to and one of the pieces that secures the top had a threaded insert missing. I had to carefully set a wood screw in to hold it. Doesn't look great with the drywall screw in it but didn't have a choice. I've never been a big fan of these kits but gave them another chance and not sure that I would order one again. If you have the mindset that you'll probably have to jury rig or repair something you won't be so disappointed. After unpackaging all the pieces and taking the styrofoam out and wrap it would be a real challenge to wrap it back up and return. Unfortunately you probably have to live with defect.

This bookshelf is very handsome. The wood is a rich cherry and the design is attractive. It's a little tricky to put together but the end result is well worth the effort. It's quite sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. I'm very happy I made this purchase. It's much nicer than many more expensive bookshelves I've seen.

Welland 18 Inch x 8 Inch x 1.25 Inch Oliver Wall Shelf Display Floating Shelves Espresso

The shelf itself is fiberboard, but the outside surface is nice and the color was what I expected from the images online. For the price, the shelf is sufficient. However, the bracket/hanging system is horrid and the instructions are not much better.

The instructions mentioned a 9/32 drill for the holes in the wall. However, the anchors provided were much bigger. I needed a 3/8 drill to make the appropriate holes. The anchors were sturdy enough. I marked out the hole locations after leveling the anchor, then drilled and installed the anchors. One quibble is that some of the holes on the anchors are too close to the protruding hangars, making it too tight a fit to use a drill with a screwdriver bit. I had to do those by hand. The screws were also brass, so it is very easy to strip the heads if you are not careful.

I checked the anchors for level, then put the shelf on. There is FAR too much clearance between the shelf and the anchors, so the shelf wobbles all over the place and does not end up level when you put something on it. I had thought that the two screws through the bottom would stabilize the shelf, but all they do is prevent the shelf from being pulled off the wall.

According to the instructions, the shelf is also designed to tilt back towards the wall slightly to prevent a heavy object from sliding off. I didn't intend to challenge the load limit for this shelf, so now it looks like I have shelves that tilt back as well as to the side.

I'm not sure what to do. Since I don't want to risk ripping up the wall to try another brand, I'm kind of stuck. I might make some sleeves from some wooden dowels and see if that provides the necessary stability (and maintains the levelness that I spent the time getting when I hung the brackets in the first place).

If you haven't purchased these yet, don't.

It was exactly what we needed. A shelf that looked clean and sleek. Putting it up was fairly simple. After hanging the shelf it still seemed loose. I tightened it as best I could bt it was still loose on the brackets. It made it seem unlevel when things are put on it. It is not a noiticable centerpiece so it will work fine for now.

I had a hard time finding a small floating shelf (18")and this one fit the bill. Quality is ok, one shelf seems slightly twisted but not really noticeable once they were up and loaded. I have 2 and they look good in a tight space.
