Safco Veneer Baby Bookcase

I needed sturdy, tall bookcases that were about 24" wide for my study. I ordered 3 of these, although not from Amazon. The man who delivered them for a freight company was clearly furious about the weight, was extremely rough with the delivery breaking the pallet on which the boxes were resting and damaging the back panel in the bottom box. Also, that box has one fewer shelf peg than it was suppose too. Maybe Safco will replace it, but the company I ordered it from cannot.

The shelves themselves are about what I expected, laminate over particle board or some such material. Any screw going into the laminate tears or ripples the laminate a little. The instructions are all pictorial with no words causing confusion to this assembler who has never seen a cam screw before. But, the assembly after the first one went much faster since I had learned all the tricks (for instance, when a cam screw won't turn to lock into place, pushing the pieces together might not work but pulling them apart *slightly* often does.)

I might well have spent more money to buy nicer shelves if I could have found them. But a trip to every furniture store in town turned up no tall, sturdy shelving 24" wide. These definitely serve my needs and, if I can obtain the last shelf peg, will definitely have been worth the hassle, even though a couple more phone calls are in order (to Safco for the peg and to the freight company to complain about the driver if they can't handle freight this heavy, why do they accept it?)

The shelf unit was delivered on time and in good condition.

It was relatively easy to assemble which was good because we were missing a key page of the instructions.

But the shelf unit is up, fits in with the decor of the Library, and is serving us well.

I searched high and low for a small item to store my kids craft items that would fit into a small space between our chimney and wall and this worked out perfectly! It wasn't too dreadful to put together..me and my husband did this. Very sturdy, I am sure we will still be using this for other items when we are done using it for crafts. Pretty sure it's a permanent fixture now. It really has been the prefect thing for us and I know I couldn't have found anything better for what we needed. SO glad we found it. My only complaint is that I didn't like having to set up a delivery time for the company to deliver it (they gave me the time of between 10 and 3) but they delivery people were SUPER friendly and ended up working with me to drop it off without someone present, I just had to leave a note with my signature. I also like having so many shelves and all but one is easily moved or removed to make larger or smaller spaces between shelves. Just love it.

Very nice quality and very solid. Easy to assemble with all holes aligning. Just follow the instructions. The color is also nice and dark.

Was a little tall to put in my closet, but it works great in my room! Very nice and sturdy. Holds a lot of shoes! Would like to have a few more, since all my shoes don't fit on it. lol But seriously, I think that this was a super buy and would buy more.

This product is difficult to put together. The instructions are easy... but it doesn't fit together well. You need to bend some of the metal to get it to snap together. I am afraid if I touch it in the wrong place.... it will spring apart like a jack-in-the-box. It'd be nice if it were a little more precisely made. But, as it is made now, I would not recommend. I bought a rolling canvas shoe rack also, and it is a lot nicer.

Compared to similar products this is a great deal. It took a couple minutes to assemble. I then put it in my closet & loaded it. Voila! It's not something you would move regularly. But if placed in a closet it works amazingly well and the price is great.

Works well enough, but it doesn't stay together very well. I ended up wrapping twine around each of the joints to keep them from popping loose. Not really a big deal.

Metal was stiff and had to be forced into place to hold it's structure. Otherwise looks fine and is functional.

I am really enjoying this shelf, it fits perfectly into the space I had. Easy to install. Although there are 2 metal rods which the shelf slips into for the support, it is a little shaky and I would not put anything a little heavy on it especially on the end.

Sterilite 27-Quart #2310 Stacking 4pc Drawer, 4-Pack

I ordered this Sterilite 4pc drawer set a couple of days ago when the price dropped substantially from over 50 bucks to 30s (only lasted 2 days). BTW, there was a huge price hike in this year if you check the price history at the famous camelcamelcamel site, starting at 22 bucks and shot over 50 in a few months. Yes Uncle Sam has been printing $$, but still not pleasant to have such a pace of inflation. Despite the skyrocketing price, I was astonished to see the level of the quality deterioration happened to the manufacturer, Sterilite, a famous household plastics brand. A few years ago I bought their similar product (now discontinued) drawer model 17068004, which is both aesthetically better looking and much more robust. It's a shame that they've decided to drop the bar of quality control and cut cost so aggressively. Two out of four drawers broke upfront when I opened the package, which is merely a thin cardboard box. Apparently the UPS staff hasn't been handling the package with care but it tells you about how "strong" these plastics are. Even the two unbroken ones look to be so fragile that I can break the corner of white plastic cover by a single hand. Assured that they won't last long, I requested a return immediately. Stay away from this piece of junk and buy something else!

I bought these as an option for the 2 bulky small drawered dressers in my kids room. Stacked them 5 drawers high,by 3 drawers wide. What a DIFFERENCE! They can see EVERYTHING now and the drawers are nice and deep. Now they have a drawer for EVERYTHING, and are TOTALLY organized! Definiteley recommend for kids/teenagers as an AFFORDABLE option to heavy furniture. Plus they can move/interchange with their mood,or needs. I looked ALL over or these drawers! Amazon has THEE BEST price!

Walker Edison 44-Inch Wood TV Stand Console, Traditional Brown

The console arrived promptly and, although the box showed some signs of rough handling in transit, it was so well packaged that nothing was damaged. It is made of particle board with a good quality veneer and looks as pictured. Directions are clear, and all necessary parts were included. It is a nice-looking piece at a fair price. I recommended it.

I love this t.v. stand. I can't believe the quality for the money. It looks great, and is sturdy enough to support my big screen t.v. and accessories.

The assembly did take a bit of time to finish (about 3 hours, but I was working by myself, and it suggests working with another person). I think the time to assemble was reasonable considering the sturdiness of the final product; and, even though it took a while, the instructions were still incredibly well written and easy to understand. And the only tool required was a phillips-head screwdriver.

I was also impressed with how carefully it had been packaged for shipping and the quick delivery time. I definately recommend this product!

This is a very impressive unit for its price. Although it is engineered wood (fiberboard) it's very high quality at that, with laminate coating that's very convincing. Do not think it's going to look cheap like some kind of laminate shelving you put in your closet not even close. The boards are heavy and designed to support a hefty amount of weight on them without warping.

Best of all, though, was the fit and finish and how easy it was to put it together. The instructions are easy to follow and the panels fit perfectly together. The big test were with the swinging doors and if they scraped or had huge gaps perfectly passed the test with no scrapes and the gaps are nonexistent; doors closed perfectly like a French cabinetmaker would've constructed !

Packaging this thing came in some of the heaviest duty packaging I've ever seen. The packaging itself easily weighed over 10 lbs.

From start of unpack to disposal of the packaging took me 90 minutes to complete by myself. It's not hard but do plan to have floor space for staging purposes. The boards need to lay out and have room to work with.

Overall, I'm very pleased with this unit. True, it does not use real hardwood but a real hardwood unit of this calibre would easily cost at least 5-7x as much if not more. Combine that with free shipping on Amazon, and you get a phenomenal value remember, this entire package is very heavy and would be quite a challenge to bring from store to home why go through that pain when the UPS guy can bring it to your door.

Scrapbook Paper Storage Cube System

I received this item for my birthday last year, and thought it would be the perfect solution to my scrapbook mess. The product went together rather easily, but the black plastic knobs/connectors that are supposed to hold it together DO NOT. They pop off therefor making the whole contraption collapse. Mine came with a black dust cover, also a good idea. However, when you try to put the cover on, it makes the black connectors pop of again and all paper or items stored on the tower fall off. Not impressed.

I sought for a paper storage solution and thought I would give this a try. It looks fairly easy to assemble, but I had difficulty doing so. Even after I received help, it is not very sturdy. If the cubes are not assembled absolutely perfect, it messes up the ones above and then the whole tower is crooked. I think I should have gotten actual shelves.

This storage unit is very handy. The only problem is how hard it is to put together. I consider myself pretty handy and don't have a problem assembling things, usually. It took me over 4 hours to assemble this thing! After wrestling with the gazillion clips that hold the shelves together and suffering scraped knuckles, I had to resort to using plyers to finish the job. Ridiculous! Even though the product is useful, I would not recommend it because it isn't worth the headache you get from putting it together. There has to be a better way!

This is basically a good product. You will need to use zip-ties to reinforce the joints and shelves. A second set of hands would be helpful in assembly.

I purchased this product to store my paper for card-making. At first it appeared to be boxed with no instructions on assembly. My son in-law came to my home and I asked him if he could assemble it for me as I couldn't even figure out how to get the wheels on. It really didn't take him long to assemble (an engineer by trade)but alas, three quarters of the way thru the process, there laid the asssembly instructions held by static to one of the shelves. So much for making this an easy task!!!

One more thing--handle this very carefully as it is not very sturdy!!! The box that this came in stated that the storage unit can be added onto. Don't even think about it. It would definitely topple over. BEWARE......

The wine rack is nice and very functional. My issue with it was the design of the shelves. The main piece is hinged and unfolds but you have to insert wooden dowels into pre-drilled holes to hold the shelves. The dowels were larger than the holes (I guess to make them snug) and you are instructed to insert them with a rubber mallet. Since there were no specific instructions on how hard or far to drive the dowels in I attempted to insert them as far as they would go. On one of them I split the wood around the dowel hole. After that I was very careful to tap them in only so far. This in my opinion is poor engineering and poor documentation. Had they documented better instructions and/or improved the design I would have been completely pleased with this product.

I love this rack. I'm not a big fan of putting things together. But the assembly that needed to be done on this rack was a snap. The sides & a couple of the shelves are hinged then the other shelves are assembled with dowel pins. It looks great!!

Shelf Steel Wire Shelving Kit Size: 54"

This is what I expected, not a great quality product but worth the price you pay. When I received the shipment it was not packed very well so one of the shelves had a bend in the metal but I hammered that out and started putting it together. I use this one in my bedroom for storage of boxes. It works perfectly for me, it is a little short but for me that was perfect because the area I was putting it in didn't have a large amount of space from floor to ceiling. If you are looking for a cheaper but yet sturdy shelving unit then I would recommend this. The shipping was very speedy and I received it in a very timely fashion.

other than that, it's pretty basic for storing your stuff.
