This bookcase dimension was perfect for my kid's room along with a black and white desk.Thinking of buying another one to put them together. The quality of this product was excellent and it only took around 20 minutes to assemble all the pieces. 16.8 X 13.8 X 87.2 is a good size but if it were available in the size of 20 X 16 X 80 then I would've been far more satisfied. Delivery from Amazon was very fast.Replaced order on 8/12/12 and got 8/15/12 without any damages.

These were very easy to assemble and they look great! Used one in a closet and attached clothes rods to it....very cool closet organization!

Be sure to open as soon as you receive your shipment. We did not as it was a pre purchase for a remodel to be used in our closet organizer and when we finally opened to assemble there was some small damages. Thankfully as a closet shelf it won't be noticeable.

Quality is very good for particle board and assembly was simple.

InterDesign Easy Lock Pro Shelf, Brushed Stainless Steel

This is a fantastic bathroom shelf. It is very heavy-duty it's made of stainless steel and is hefty (weighs 1 pound 5 ounces). Really solid feeling. The finish is brushed so it has a matte appearance. It is 14 inches long, 5 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep.

While I really like the build quality, what really sold me on this is the mounting method. You affix a plastic holder to the wall using either screws or the supplied silicon glue. I used the screw method since I was mounting this on drywall (it actually is going into my kitchen rather than the bathroom). But, I can see the strong appeal of using the glue method for a tile mount. Drilling into nice tile is always nerve-racking for me. Plus, should you want to replace the shelf down the road, you're left with holes in the tile.

But, since I didn't use the glue, I can't speak to how good a job it does holding the shelf. The instructions are pretty easy make sure the tile is spotlessly clean, apply the glue and let it dry for 24 hours. The mounting plate has some pre-applied adhesive pads so the plate stays in position while the glue is drying. Very nice touch since that avoids the need to clamp or tape it to the wall during the drying phase.

I posted some pictures so you can see what the mount looks like from the back. It comes with 2 screws and wall anchors (for screw mounting) and a tube of silicon glue (glue mount).

In addition to making it easy to hang, the mount allows you to very easily remove the shelf from the wall should you want to clean it, or clean behind it. Just lift up, and the shelf comes off the mounting bracket (the bracket has grooves to hold the shelf). The shelf is very stable in use you have to lift it straight up to have it come off from the bracket.

You can spend far less on a bathroom shelf/organizer, but I find the plastic ones look really bad after just a fair amount of use, and the chrome metal ones usually rust. This is made so that it will stand up to having the soap scum scrubbed off of it, won't rust, and is easy to remove (which is half the battle when cleaning items such as this). Pricy, but well worth the cost.

I had my contractor install this using the glue to avoid drilling into my new tile. I waited the requisite 24 hours then put the EMPTY bottles I planned to fill for use in the shower. The shelf fell within an hour. On the plus side, the glue was easy to remove as claimed. I am not using this shelf and seeking a replacement.

The shelf is sturdy, but the glue that came with it was completely dried up when the product came. Couldn't get more from Amazon or the company without sending the whole thing off for a replacement, so I just used silicone adhesive I had around the house. Other than that, it's a good shelf... but be ready to find your own glue.

I really wanted this to work. I followed the instructions exactly, cleaning the area with alcohol, letting the silicone glue dry for a full 24 hours before placement of the tray. It was a smooth surface. It held my 1-lb soap bottle very well. The next day I added a 1-lb shampoo bottle (it says it holds up to 20 lbs). Crash. Within 2 hours of adding the second bottle it all fell down. I can't drill holes into my shower wall and this glue method clearly doesn't work.

Five Tier NSF Extra Large Commercial Grade Shelving Rack in Chrome

These shelves are pretty much what you'd expect just like the normal 6-shelf 48"x18" ones, only more so. As such, they deliver the goods but it's worth making a few observations.

* These shelves are good value for money in terms of footage of shelves per $, and I have two of them. One is this Trinity one, and the other is the "Seville Classics Shelving System with Wheels, Chrome". They're both functionally identical, and for all I know made in the same Chinese factory.

* The rated carrying capacity of these shelves is the same as that usually cited for the smaller shelves, namely 600lbs. Given that these shelves give you 50 square feet of shelving (cf 36sqft on the normal 48x18" units), that works out to only 12lb/sqft before you're fully loaded. If you think about it, that's really not very much. Thus, these shelves are fine if you're putting relatively light stuff on them, but if you're planning to load them up packed-tight, then you'll have to expect the shelves to sag significantly (at the very least).

I wanted to store a lot of tools, car parts, paint and such-like. The pounds really add up quickly under such circumstances. Before I had even finished loading things up, I discovered the weakest link in these shelves, namely the castors, which experience significant off-axis loading (due to the castor of the castors!). In my case, the studs that screw the castors into the columns bent badly. Mercifully, I managed to off-load the shelves before they fell over completely. The castors were toast, but I was able to get them out of the columns (sighs of relief), and I didn't need them, so no big loss. Now, I'm being considerably more careful about how I load up the shelves.

It's probably also worth noting that these shelves (just like all Metro-style shelves) have nothing to help you to make them seismically secure. If you live (say) in California, then you'd do well to strap any shelves to the wall (unless you're genuinely planning to trundle them around, which gives you a different set of risks). I used water-heater earthquake strapping. It would have been nice to have something to hook this to on the shelves, but then these are just generic Metro-style shelves, so you really can't expect anything other than Metro shelving.

Bottom line: These shelves would have been soooo much better if they had been built more strongly. These shelves are no stronger than the normal, smaller metro shelves, but the larger area of the shelves makes strength that much more important. If you want bigger shelves than the more common variety extra depth or width, then these are a great deal, especially if you manage to catch them with a good shipping deal. However, if you're mostly interested in the weight carrying capacity, then your $s would be much better spent on the smaller and cheaper 48"x18" units.

These Shelves are awesome. I have four of them in the garage and two in the attic storage. Rather than build shelving I bought these so that I could move them out of the way if I needed to get more space in any particular garage bay. They are really strong. I have one that is loaded with 6'x18"x3/4" MDF top to bottom and some power tools on the top shelf and it rolls around sturdy. No flex. Takes the weight fine, and the casters are more than up to it.

Assembly is pretty easy. No tools needed. The one wrench that's desireable is provided and works on both the caster option or the fixed level adjusting feet.

This unit is incredible. I've had it for a few months and wanted to wait and see how it held up before I weighed in.

The box it arrived in was a beast, super heavy. After it was beaten up during shipping & then dragging it to the garage, I worried that the condition of the box might mean that parts were missing or broken. Not so. Perfect assembly experience. Right away I could tell this was not a cheap, flimsy build.

I was looking for something like this for linens to have in our bedroom. Somehow the hall linen closet fills up with other things, so I thought I'd keep bed linens in the bedroom. This is an excellent quality piece and the packaging was excellent as well. It came with a couple of spots from dampness, but a little rubbing removed them. We are missing one special screw for the handle that my husband has to run out and buy, but we aren't sure if it fell out of the bag and we lost it, or if the unit was short on screw. In any case, we are very pleased with it!

It is the perfect size for there I wished to place it. Looks very nice and more expense than what I paid for it. I think most would be happy with it.

The finished product would be a 4 star. I gave it 3 stars for a few reasons. 1 the description did not say assembly required. 2 the assembly instructions do not tell you there is only one way the top piece can go on. If it is done incorrectly, the doors won't close so be sure to check that the larger gap between the cam pin and the edge is in the front. 3 it is not clear from the pictures but there is a center vertical piece so the shelves are only half the size of the whole cabinet. It is a problem if you want to put anything big inside. 4 the shelves are less deep than the cabinet for no apparent reason. 5 the doors don't line up using the holes provided for the screws.

Other than those things it is solid and looks nice.

I love this cabinet. The instructions were very easy to follow. The only problem I encountered was with the top. The trim work on both ends arrived broken and when a replacement was sent, one end had the trim work broken. I think the way it is packaged should be changed. However, this company did everything to make me a happy customer. The customer service was awesome. They responded right away and worked quickly to correct the problem. I would definitely recommend them.

The assembled cabinet looks like it came from a furniture store. It doesn't have the look of home-assembled furniture. The assembly directions are poorly done. The illustrations are way too small and the 3 or so pages should be expanded to 6 or so to clarify locations and placements. I'm very happy with the completed product.

(I have one set up like this in my garage for winter coats, boots, gloves, etc.)

BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews can take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've received from other reviewers and work hard to return the favor as best as I can. I hope you found this review helpful and if there was anything you thought was lacking or unclear leave a comment and I'll do what I can to fix it.

I've tried both this version of shelving and two other versions that were more plain, gray steel varieties that assembled with pre-formed rivets that slot together. One of those cut the heck out of my hands. The other had no sharp edges, but was extremely unstable during assembly, and effectively required two people to hold it together until fully framed.

Not only is this shelving much, much easier for a person to put together by himor herself, it is also much more stable that the alternatives. And, despite the fact that it's fairly light-weight (and thus easier to move than the alternatives), it's at least as solid. I'll buy more of these.

Like the previous reviewer, we tried many different metal shelves, but none are made as sturdy or with the same quality as Whitmor, and assembly is a breeze.

Not only do we use these shelves as basic storage, but they're so attractive that we also use the 4 tier chrome shelf as an entertainment unit. With each shelf holding up to 350 lbs., you have limitless possibilities.

You might pay a bit more for Whitmor, but the quality is well worth the price.

I bought one of these specifically for my kitchen for extra appliance and canister storage and am very happy with the result. These shelves are strong, sturdy, and attractive enough to be on permanent display. As mentioned in another review, they are easy for one person to assemble. I'm quite pleased with them and will probably buy another in the near future.

One problem, for my intended application, that I didn't think about when I bought them: These are wire shelves, so there are gaps between the wires . Appliance cords dangle through the shelf wires; appliances sit cock-eyed when the feet don't line up with the wires, etc. However, this was rather easily solved: I made a quick trip to the hardware mega-store for some thin acrylic sheets (think Plexiglass) and a cheap plastic-scoring knife. I made a few measurements, scored the plastic with the knife, snapped off the excess and ended up with crystal-clear tops for each of the shelves.

Each wire shelf has a slight wire lip around it and my new plastic tops fit flush with the lip and were held in place by it. Now appliance cords don't hang down through the shelf; appliances don't sit cock-eyed and small items are safe. And, due to the angle of my kitchen lighting, you have to look very closely to even see the covers.

None of this takes away from these shelves. They'll serve you well for a long time.

i like the fact that it takes up very little space, it feels pretty study but has a weight capacity of 13lbs or something like that. i put the PS3 on it and it works and looks great. only thing i could really complain about is the wire management thing wont stay in place.

Have 8 of these units in my garage; some for over 10 years now. Bought from Costco (same vendor/manuf now it seems). Easy to assemble and reconfigure (if you have a rubber mallet to get them back apart!). Use the large wheels and not adjusting legs. Have even reconfigured to half-height and used in Kitchen for a time. Overall, still look like new and easy to keep clean (almost self cleaning). Only one down side is loading them up when on wheels. If you load with over ~250lbs on a single rack, they are near impossible to wheel around as they start bending and deforming if pushing from the middle or upper half of rack. While they claim 600lbs per shelf possible, I find 250 lbs on a shelf and the shelf starts bowing. Had been storing 40 boxes of books at one time and now dialysis "water" pack supplies. Overall, worth every dollar extra over other garage storage solutions; like angle-iron shelves. Known by many as "restaurant" shelves as this is where you see them most often. They are good enough for kitchen use. Even used them with a local sports club where I lashed on extra shelves as sides to create a lockable, enclosed cage that rolled. (Simply lashing side to the vertical pole sufficed as a hinge -sturdy and easily moved). Stored our equipment securely in a shared storage area of a school gym. Bought some smaller units from office supply store to use in linen closets for blankets, pillows, etc. And smaller black-anodized units to use as printer (added wood top), speaker, and audio equipment stands.
