Walker Edison 44 Inch Wood Corner TV Console

After lengthy online search I decided NOT to purchase this Walker Edison 44" Castillo Brown Corner TV Console. It took me forever, but I finally found the shelf dimensions, which are not listed on Amazon.

Specifications:

Overall Dimensions: 44"W x 16"D x 24"H

Shelf Dimensions: 39" W x 12" D x 8" H

I read somewhere else that the cabinet usable depth (inside) is 12.75 inches. That's quite a bit smaller than the overall 16'' depth. Many home theater receivers are deeper than 12.75''. My Denon AVR1910 has a 14.75'' depth (as do others receivers like the similarly priced Onkyo).

Wow! I dodged a bullet. I'm glad I didn't order this, and put it together only to discover my components would not fit. I guess I could leave the doors off or try to open the back, but not sure that would work.

I'm just putting the usable depth info here because it took me a while to find.

Good luck. I still cannot find a corner cabinet with doors that will fit into my small corner space between window and fireplace. This unit appeared to be just right.

Thank you, Bob "Bob" for putting those dimensions up. It is rather shallow, so take that into consideration before buying. Unfortunately I didn't, only to find that my DVR player did not fit inside with the doors closed! Well, without cables I could close the doors, but with the cables plugged into the back, I needed a good 1/2 inch more. That sucked. Luckily I'm a little handy and drilled individual holes for each cable. An ordinary spade bit did the trick, and rather nicely. Now the DVR fits, though it wasn't easy plugging everything into it!

Also, a note on assembly. Because you're dealing with wood composite material, be careful, especially with the wood dowels. One of them actually came through the side when I was attaching the shelf to the side of the cabinet. (Luckily, I have some scrap walnut in the garage, so I intend to cover that up with a decorative "button.") True, I was using possibly too much force, but this leads me to think some of the holes for the dowels may have been a bit too shallow. When possible, try a dry fit before gluing everything together. The instructions were OK, but obviously a few more warnings were in order. Live and learn.

I'm really happy with this product. It took only about an hour by myself to put together. Every piece was clearly marked and the instructions were correct. Even though it's not solid wood, it's well made materials and no cardboard back. All nice quality panels. Well thought out design. however be sure to check dimensions of your electronic equipment. I failed to check that so a few of my components wouldn't fit since it's a corner stand.

Not very big, couldn't close the door with a standard Surround sound system. If you have a lot of components, get something bigger. Good quality wood though

Thin Man Pantry Cabinet

My husband put this together for me and it looked wonderful and held everything I needed it to hold. However, the wheels would not roll....so a trip to the local hardware store and viola it had new wheels and rolled as needed. This unite worked for about a year and then the other night we heard a large crash. Upon investigating we found it had come tumbling down and there were food products all over the place. Unfortunately on the top shelf I had a glass botttle of worchestershire sauce and another bottle of soy sauce plus several glass jars of pickles (sweet & dill) What a mess! Over the year we had the unit the pegs must have worked out and became loose as we pulled it out and in of the space besides the fridge. So beware and glue the shelves (pegs) in so that this does not happen to you. Otherwise it was a great idea and a big help storing our extras and making a space useable that had not been.

Classroom Keepers Book Shelf

The seller should have mentioned this item was made out of cardboard... for the price, I suspected it might be made from thick cardboard; but I was surprised at how flimsy it was. The directions were difficult to follow, so the flimsy cardboard got all bent up while I was putting it together. My highest hope is that it will at least survive one school year... save your money and get something sturdier...

We bought this for an infant room thinking sturdy meant that it would hold up. We were very surprised when we opened the package to find CARDBOARD. The seller has since deleted a "seller review." Also, returning has not been successful.

They were terrible to put together, did not stand upright, books fell to the bottom of the unit and made for a total disappointment and waste of money. Too bad she purchased these in a hurry and didn't read the reviews. A lesson learned for sure. Recycle a cardboard box from your local dumpster, you'll be much happier!

Winsome Wood 4-Tier A-Frame Shelf, Espresso

My house was built in the 20s, so there is very limited closet space and the places you can put shelves are awkwardly small. I thought this sort of shelf would be perfect in my bathroom if only a couple of inches too wide to let the door open all the way. When the time came to buy one, I was astounded at the price of them! Amazon has a few that are cheaper, but they catch you with $30 shipping costs. This particular shelf is eligible for Prime which I love to use. I'd searched and searched for one of a comparable price, but hadn't found anything else that didn't gut me on shipping or wasn't entirely too large. So, I broke down and bought this shelf last week.

The shelf got here in record time (way to go UPS and Amazon!), and I really excited to get it put together and start organizing my new home. I pulled the shelf out of the box and it was remarkably dirty. I mean, every piece of this shelving unit was covered in saw dust and silty dirt. I pull out all the screws, the directions, and start dusting off all the pieces. The color is dark espresso supposedly, but I'd err on the side of caution and say that this is more black than anything else. In espresso, you can still see the brown. This is black until direct natural light hits it and then you can see the reddish undertones. Fortunately, this works in my bathroom, but for those of you looking for more brown than black, go elsewhere.

Anyhow, so I start checking out all the pieces. It is fairly self-explanatory on how to put the whole thing together, but I notice that the edges are very rough/sharp. The wood is fairly cheap and dry, so I can see how it may not hold up well in humidity or be the best bet for a child's bedroom. There are scratches on it straight out of the box that are noticable since the stain is so dark. So, to Lowe's I will go for a stain pen to fix the scratches.

There are a few positives to this particular shelf. Most of the holes on the shelf match up some better than others but for the most part the ease of putting it togeter is good. You will need a rubber mallet or a hammer to get the wooden pegs in the holes for the bottom shelf, but this isn't a big deal. All the pieces were included in the correct number, they include the necessary tool in case you don't have your own set of allen wrenches, and, while I had a little difficulty at the beginning, it was relatively easy to put together with only one person.

Frankly, I normally would have returned this piece, but I cannot wait for shelving in my home any longer and I've been searching for ages so I realize this is about as good as it's going to get for the price. I'd have let a lot more of this stuff slide if it had been a $40-$50 shelf instead of a $70 shelf. I expect a little more for $70. Would I order from this company again? No, given that their prices stay the same.

Well i read plenty of reviews that said this shelf came with problems and i thought "not me!" I'll get a good one! HA Ha Ha Ha!! From the start the packaging was partly open then came inspection. Part of one of the shelves was scratched pretty badly. Thought i'd just put the scratch toward the back (forgot and its in the front, shouldn't have been my problem). Putting it together was ridiculous! The screws were way to big for the holes and they didn't line up correctly. One of the shelves split, there is a piece that goes on the shelf that i thought was for the front to finish it off but it is the back but it was in NO way straight. I kept thinking, "why do i keep putting this together, why not send it back?" I wish i would have but i have come to believe this is what this company wants. They know its easier to just put it together than get it partly together, undo it, put it back in the box, take it to UPS and ship it back. There fore they do not care about the crappy work they do on their product. Sad really. I was so excited about the shelf. Next time i will go some where else.

Not good....I have bought several 'flat pack' items, many of far east country origin, this shelf unit is bar far the worst. Shipping boxes thin and will likely have damage on receipt (both of mine had severed taping and torn cardboard, which led to chipping of contents. But worst was very poor finishing of wood prior to stain being applied ,appears as though nothing was sanded or cleaned before finish was applied....rough to the touch and inconsistant color, would have been better just going to B*g L**s. Had to saw a piece in each box to fit (the strengthener under the bottom shelf). If boxes were intact enough I would return product. I would not put much weight on it as shelves only thin.

Too bad! Nice product for the money if you don't mind doing the job for the company you paid to deliver. The manufacturer seems not to have quality control. One of the shelves had no holes whatsoever. Four drilled holes in each shelf are essential in the assembly of this product. It was either take the time and expense to return the product, drill the holes myself, or use the faulty shelf and take a chance on the shelf eventually falling. My time is too valuable to do the job for a company I've paid for their product. In business as in life, you have one chance to make a first impression. My advice to the buyer, be prepared for frustration Winsome doesn't check components before shipping and leaves the quality control to the customer. Too bad for the customer!

Where in the world did these come from? They were actually impossible to put together, holes were way to small on a few holes and way to big on others nothing matched up. I actually had to hire someone to fix the holes!! I would have sent them back but shipping would have cost more than to try to have them fixed (by the way, they cracked upon fixing beause they were poorly poorly made! NO WAY! don't waste your time!

This was purchased via Amazon prime. Got it in a day. Took 1 1/2 hours to assemble. I wish i had someone to help out. It would have been a lot faster. Looked neat and is sturdy to hold my 47 LG TV and all my AV components. Tricky doors like previous reviews commented. Definitely not your 300+ $ TV stands. As you build it, you will notice its materials are worth what you paid for, particle board and some thin laminates. But a neat and clean look for a budget conscious customer like me. I must say the design was good and construction manual was great. 10 clear cut steps and you are done. You will need a Philips type screw driver. All other hardware is supplied. Can't beat 4$ Amazon prime overnight shipping. Faster and easier than picking up something from 30 mile away Ikea. :)

This is the perfect size and shape for my needs: to hold cable box, dvd player on top wide shelf, printer for wireless printing on very bottom shelf, and a bunch of DVDs tucked inside the cabinets and on the middle shelf. The one thing is that the holes drilled on one side of the cabinet for the hinges did not quite line up properly (were too far from the edge) which affects how you open the door. The other side opens perfectly, so I just put the good DVDs in that one.

This table is definitely worth more than its price. Pretty decent, made up from a very strong material. It tool me only 45 60 min to assemble. I think I specially want to mention is my TV is 60'' and this TV even it says is for less size TV, it looks very good on mine (if you wan to save money). A inch edge coming out of table but that is not a problem for me. Definitely recommend it.

I am pleased with this product. It looks like a much more expensive piece than it is. The only complaint is that the right door rubs when shut. Also, the particle wood is not going to hold up for the long haul. Some of the hardware was improperly labeled but I was able to correct it with a bit of rework. Bottom line is that you can't beat this piece for the price, looks great and is very sturdy.

this stand is about 21" tall and about 46" long it looks very nice in my living room.

it was really easy to assemble it, and it has a really great color..

when it comes to align the doors or make them look straight is kind of tricky but just just have to use your screwdriver and tight it or loose it , whatever your need is, and make sure both doors are aligned the same way.

if the doors are not aligned, when u close them it'll look like the doors are falling, so make sure you do it right and straight.

This bookcase would be great if the manufacturer had included assemble hardware adequate for the weight of the shelves. The assembly directions were followed to the letter, however the weight of the top decorative piece was so great it ripped the connecting screws which are plastic from the sides sending the topper crashing down on the shelves starting a chain reaction of fallin shelves all the way to the bottom. The damage, amazingly, can be repaired and we used metal shelving brackets to assemble the bookcase. We would not purchase any of the other pieces in the collection.

Took me a couple hours to put this together but when completed it looked very nice. You would have to look pretty hard to recognize that it is not solid wood. Going to add at least one more unit as they are made to connect together.

BTW, I expect the second one will be much easier to put together now I have the hang of it.

The finished result after putting together this cherry colored book shelf is a beautiful piece of furniture, but it's so frustrating to assemble, you might throw it out the window before you get it completed. It arrived well packaged, without any damage done in shipping to the boards. Upon first glance, it appears simple enough to put together. But it actually requires a lot of very precise measuring and drilling. As other reviewers mentioned, the molding on the shelves doesn't appear to fit properly. Even in the included directions it mentions that the molding will have gaps in it, and you're supposed to affix the boards with equal gaps on each side. It seems odd that they wouldn't make the molding fit from end to end.

After literally hours of working on putting this bookcase together, when we had it all done and set it up, it looked great. The color was the perfect cherry color, matching all my real cherry wood furniture. It comes with a cherry wood colored marker, perfect for touching up any dings you might get in the boards. We used this marker to color in the small gaps between the molding that stood out because the lighter compressed wood from the inside shown through. After coloring these tiny gaps, the shelf looked perfect. The bookcase holds weight very well. I've got everything from large heavy books to figurines on these. Even with lots of weight on one side and very little on the other, I've had no issues with shelves tilting, breaking or falling over. The bookcase stands upright on carpeting very well, and doesn't lean. It's a beautiful, well priced and sturdy bookshelf, every bit worth 5 stars. But the assembly process is so tedious and frustrating, it causes it to lose one star in rating. If everything isn't measured or drilled perfectly, it won't look right or go together correctly. If you're willing to deal with a long assembly process, your results will be a beautiful bookshelf that will hold up to a lot of use.

I user to have a carpeted floor but then, I had an old, small bookcase that was looking to fall to bits. I kept things like Q-tips and medicines on it, but things kept falling off when the medical aides moved it to let me get in and out of bed. Then we changed to a wooden floor for my room, and I was worried that the bookcase would scratch the new floor.

Given that this cart has shelves twice as deep as my bookcase, it seemed like a no-brainer. I could now keep my current books next to my bed, rather than having the aide bring me a couple each night. Also, the tires appeared to be made of a thick rubber, unlike the over-bed trays that had plastic wheels that kept on getting locked.

When it came, my wife assembled it in 20 minutes, without drama. It was everything we'd hoped for, easy to move and a rigid frame. It rolled well over the floor, and the contents of the shelves didn't look like they'd fall out.

After having this for more than a week, I can recommend it. Yes, it's twice the price of the cheapest over-bed trays, but the whole thing seems much sturdier. And of course having a large chrome cart makes my room look better.

The only I wish it came with would be some plastic shelves with a small lip. So far, we've had no problems with anything falling through the mesh shelves, but it could happen, and we don't keep pens or other small things on it.

However, it's made the aides and my life considerably easier. From what I've seen of similar products in hospitals, this is up to that standard. And of course, you don't need it just for healthcare. Anywhere you need mobile storage, this will do the trick.

I bought two of these and love them. They were so easy to put together. I didn't need any help at all. I anchored them to the studs and are extremely sturdy. I also have the slat wall between them and the heavy duty shelves. Finally I am getting organized!!!! I put drawers on the bottom half of the tower and love the way they turned out too!

This rack came in a small box with the parts needed for construction, no extra tools needed. The entire rack consists of plastic frame reinforced by metal bars for each shelf, making the entire thing seem somewhat weak or unstable looking. Comes with wall mounters which i didn't use, you'll have to consult with somebody else about those. But for the most part, the product is rather stable and my rack of ps2 games hasn't fallen down yet, which i say is a huge plus because it's a full 90 dvds. The shelves however themselves aren't shelves, it's just like, 2 bars pretty much, so they sometimes sit in the hole on the shelf layer rather than the shelf itself. I have not had any dvd topples or falls or real incidents with it so i say that's more or less a minor setback, but its still there.

At this point I am satisfied with this product; its compact, holds 90 dvds, cheap, and it works. May not be as nice as a real wooden media shelf, but hey, you get what you pay for.

Well it holds DVDs. Sometimes putting them on the shelf is annyoing, because the edge of the dvd may fall between the opening on each level (each "shelf" is comprised of a piece of plastic, a gap and a metal rod).

It was only $20 dollars or so, but it feels like something that should have cost $8 or $10 as I know you can find some made of particle board for about $30 that are much sturdier.

It is small though, and it fit perfectly where I needed it. It just feels a little cheap.

This DVD rack is sold by Atlantic, and made made by Mitsu, which is based out of India. I bought this rack because it was cheep and the reviews indicated it worked. I make my own furniture and I currently have many projects in the making. My wife asked for a DVD rack, which I do not have time to make right now, so we looked for something cheep that would keep the DVD's out of the floor temporarily. This rack worked just fine. I would like to address two issues I read in other reviews.

Assembly: It is much easier, when assembling anything to not tighten any screws, or bolts, until the entire project is put together. This allows for some moving room and it is easier to fix mistakes.

Tips/Falls easily: The first thing I noticed about this rack was that the base is the same width as the body of the rack. It stands to reason that once loaded with DVD s it is going to be top heavy, therefore it will fall over. It is designed to be screwed to the wall, but I wanted it to be free standing. I cut a plywood board two inches wider and two inches longer than the plastic rack. I carefully drilled holes in the plastic rack legs and I attached the rack to the plywood base. Now, the bottom base is wider, longer and heavier then the rack, so it stands up straight and it will not fall over even with the top loaded with DVD s. If you want to try this, be sure and pour water on the drill as you are drilling plastic. This keeps it from cracking. If you do not want to try drilling in plastic, you can strap it to a wood base board.

I bought this stand because of its smaller size to fit between a fireplace and a window and it works beautifully. The stand comes in a lot of pieces but goes together fast and easy. There are 2 wall braces that require being screwed into the wall. This makes it super sturdy.

This is not what I had expected for approx $25. If this were a $10 shelf I would be satisfied with the purchase, but I believe we should have received better quality for this price.

The shelf has a good appearance, and that's about where the positives end. It is made of a real light plastic. It does not stand well on it's own and needs to be anchored to the wall (anchoring hardware is included). The assembly is easy enough (yes, every bit of it needs assembly). I will say it will hold the 90 DVDs it advertises.

I believe it would be wise to spend your money elsewhere than on this product. I read other reviews and thought it would be worthwhile to purchase this shelf -Wrong! As I stated, this is a $10 product. I had assumed the quality would match the price and I was incorrect. Look elsewhere. Learn from my mistake.

Dark Espresso Brown Leaning Bookcase Bookshelf

This is a great leaning bookcase that I bought for my sister. She put it together in under 45 minutes and it looks great in her living room. The one problem is that if there is a chair-rail or any obstuction on the wall, the shelves might hit at that spot creating a small instability. It isn't that bad though, she still has full bottles of exotic wine placed on the middle shelves.

I ordered this bookshelf after a friend had ordered a similar brand, and hers handled all of her medical textbooks. Hers must have been of a better quality, for during assembly I had problems with the metal pieces breaking. I do not think I was forceful during assembly. Upon contacting the company, they agreed to send replacement parts and never sent them. In the mean time, I have had 2 of my shelves crack where the screws enter, and they now tilt. These are not even the shelves with textbooks, but just paperback novels. If the shelving was of better quality, it would be a beautiful addition to the room. I would not recommend this brand if you have anything other than light items (picture frames, stuffed animals, etc) because they seem to be made of cheap materials.

Like a lot of reviewers for this product online, I bought mine at Big Lots for $79.99. And yes, it is the exact same product from Ameriwood. It was difficult to find in stock, to be sure my ex-husband was out of town one day and found one at a Big Lots there and bought it for me. I assembled it by myself and it was not hard...but I have a lot of experience with build-it-yourself furniture, which definitely helps. I had only one small issue one of the cam bolts holes was drilled too close to the edge and a small chunk of wood fell out but it's on the inside so who cares? I am getting another one to put in my dining area truly, it's so cute and a lot more spacious than it looks. So much better than the utility cabinet type pantries. If they made it in white, I would buy one for my bedroom. If you can't find it in a local Big Lots, then $139 is a lot to pay BUT, you would not be disappointed, trust me. I am a female furniture builder from way back. It is a much cheaper way to go and the pride you feel when finished is worth it!! I probably would have paid the $139 eventually, had I not been able to find it at a Big Lots. However, there are about 10 Big Lots within a 100 mile radius of me so I am on the hunt to find a store that has another one!

I should have paid more attention to other reviews. My husband and I purchased this pantry to hold my cookbooks in the kitchen. It would have been perfect IF we could have put it together without too much trouble. Therein lies the problem... the bottom shelf did not line up well with the sides, and we had to try to take it apart and put it back together again. When we did, the pressboard crumbled and there was no way to salvage it. We were already a good 2 hours into putting it together at that point, and this frustration led to a good hour of marital discord. We decided this furniture was not worth our grief, and it ended up in the dumpster. I emailed Amazon with an explanation and received a partial refund. I did see this piece all put together at a local Big Lots, and it seemed quite nice and sturdy and would have been perfect for our kitchen I would say that if you have above-average experience with RTA furniture, go for it. Though my husband and I have put together other furniture in the past, this one stumped us. We ended up with a foldable mission-style bookcase instead-took it out of the box, set it up, no problems!

I bought this cabinet a couple of days ago and was very excited about it. We wanted to use it as a storage unit for my elderly mother's painting supplies in the kitchen next to her chair. It took me about 2 hours to put it together. Very inferior quality. Cheap particle board and what looks like plastic laminate all over. First, sides did not line up very well and I had to force it. The backing is just a thin piece of cardboard and to install it you have to be very careful not to overshoot the particle board and nail into the inside of cabinet, which I did once. It chipped off about an inch of the inside. After getting it all put together the door does not close. There is plenty of room at the top and the bottom for the door to close however, the problem is in the middle. I checked all of the hardware and it seemed to be fine. Looking at it from a distance you can see the front leg (brace)is warped. I'm very disapointed because it's a very pretty piece. I'm taking it back to the store today. Granted, I bought it from Big Lots for only $79 but I'm glad I didn't buy it from other places for over $100.

Do not, under any circumstances, purchase this item. The assembly instructions are confusing & incomplete. The pressed wood is flimsy. Bolts, cam locks, & dowels simply fall out & cannot be locked into place. This is junk. Fine firewood, perhaps, but nothing else.

A piece of crap. Took several hours to attempt to assemble. The wood pieces and screw holes did not line up and I had to attempt to MacGyver it to make it work. Once it was FINALLY together, it looked flimsy and lopsided like something out of a Seuss book. I put my items in it anyway. It promptly collapsed. I was so angry that I took it to the curb.

It could have been a cute piece of needed furniture. Do not waste your money. I will never purchase Ameriwood products again.
